Alden Yachts

Alden, "America's Boatbuilder," is located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, USA. Crafters of semi-custom sailing and motor yachts, Alden Yachts received the Steve Collins "All Around Winner" award at the 2002 Newport International Boat Show. One of the yachts displayed at the show featured the new epoxy composite standard for both sailing and power construction, where epoxy resin is combined with E-Glass, Kevlar, or Carbon Fiber laminates. Ariel, a longtime commissioned Alden yacht, won the "Second in Class" finish in the 14th Marion to Bermuda Race. Power yachts are sized between 40 and 60 feet long, and sailing yachts are sized between 43 and 72 feet long.
