BEAUTIFULLY APPOINTED LIVEABOARD CRUISING SUNDECK TRAWLER!!
Designed as a conservative long range cruiser with full prop protecting keel, her semi-displacement hull is built with rounded bilges for a very seakindly ride offshore. Created back in the 1970s during the fuel crisis, the very economical Perkins diesel engines burn only 4 GPH at cruise which is quite desireable with todays rising fuel costs!
This Gulfstar MK II was completely overhauled in 2000 by it's professional Captain/Owner that has now decided to part with his pride and joy! Every system and component has been replaced with new or, rebuilt to better than new. Just bottom painted in 5/08, it had all of the thru hull fittings below the waterline replaced as well as the valves. During the 2000 refit all engines were rebuilt, rebuilt transmissions, new windlass motor, generator engine rebuilt and armature rewound, new air conditioners, new stove and microwave, new refrigerators, new washer/dryer, new watermaker (currently pickled), new Electra San, new inverter, new teak & holly sole, new welded aluminum flybridge frame, new water pumps, all new opening ports and much more! Extensive logbooks, maintenance records and receipts of everything done to fine vessel to convey!
