Vessel walk through
Through the companionway you enter into the galley. To starboard is the Adler-Barbour refrigeration and galley sink with draws and storage cabinets. To port is the two burner LP stove/oven, surrounded by a nicely polished stainless steel shroud, behind which is storage for pots and pans. You will find the main cabin to be very spacious and light with beautiful butternut trim work. Just forward of the ship’s galley, to port and starboard are settees, with stainless steel water tanks below and shelves and lockers above. There are two swing down Concordia style berths with leacloths that fold down over both settees. Forward of the starboard settee is a bulkhead-mounted table, when folded down reveals additional shelves and the ship’s office. Continuing forward is a comfortable sized head with plenty of storage inside cabinets. Opposite the head to port is a hanging locker. In the forward cabin is a v-berth with filler pieces and anchor rode storage.

Construction
Alisande's hull is constructed of carvel planked cedar over steam bent 1.5" x 2" oak frames on 11" centers. The decks are marine plywood with a Dynel overlay. She has a long trunk cabin with aft cockpit. Alisande spars are constructed of glued sitka spruce, the main mast is stepped through the deck and sits on the horn timber. The mizzenmast is stepped through the cockpit and lands on a mast step on top of the horn timber. The chain plates pass through the deck and are bolted through the hull. Auxiliary power is provided by a four cylinder diesel.

Broker's Notes
Named after a pretty but somewhat flighty damsel character in Mark Twain’s novel “A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court.” Allisande has appeared on the cover of Downeast Magizine, in a Discovery Channel documentary on wooden boats, and also has a chapter written about her in the book "Joel White-Boatbuilder, Designer, Sailor" Alisande is a well balanced Ketch rig and a very dry boat. She has had two owners, the first had the builder maintain her under his ownership, the second was an accomplished boat builder also and master carpenter capable of keeping her up to the same high standards that she received at Brookline Boat Yard. She shows well, and comes highly recommend.
