This custom design is by Walsted's in-house naval architect, Baron Wedell-Wedellsborg, and features a remarkably intuitive layout that is perfect for luxurious private cruising, charter operations, and liveaboard ease and comfort. The airy, yet enclosed helm position with hardtop and roller furling for all sails makes 'Ibis' easy for short-handed sailing with all the amenities. At the same time, the cockpit/deck lounge area aft ensures that guests/passengers have perfect visibility without interfering with sailing operations. In fact, by using the autopilot, 'Ibis' is easily single-handed, which is an unusual commodity in a sailing yacht of this size! And finally, make no mistake about the sailing performance of 'Ibis' either; at the 1999 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, 'Ibis' took 1st in class, 2nd overall, and was voted all-around best charter yacht!
