1999 82 Feet North American Schooner

Description

Sailing aboard Majestic is an uncompromising taste of a by-gone
era. Her traditional lines and gaffrigged sails offer inspiration to anyone with an appreciation of quality timber boats built for the purpose of being used and enjoyed.
She is a replica of a Canadian North Pacific Schooner and construction was competed in 1999 by the Indonesian boat builders of Bira, South Sulawesi.
The design below deck is tasteful and for the most part perfect for private charters of 6-8 passengers with old world charm as the key to her décor. She is presently an asset of The Imajica Experience, an Australian business running her as a surf and dive charter boat.
Her owners are carrying out extensive work to her engine room, the only under-engineered aspect of this craft. Plans are under way to install a new 160 horse power diesel engine, re-wiring and installation of a heavy-duty anchor and winch system.
She sails well under most any condition and her rig is easily handled by two people. Her deck area is massive and comfortable with dinning either above or below deck. Cabin areas are somewhat tight, but the cabins themselves are large and comfortable. She does not provide private facilities for each of her cabins,
but in a boat of this size that concept is not feasible. Instead her layout is designed so that most living can be experienced outside. A solid timber roof extends over the steering and main cabin entrance, and whilst not under sail, two large deck tents can be raised extending the protection to three quarters of her
deck area. There is a deck shower for rinsing after dives and one private shower below deck which is presently the only head on the boat. The galley is small, but functional with a large screen TV and DVD player in the main cabin. Her large deck space and additional table shaded by two tents offer the perfect entertaining area.
Her owners sailed her from South Sulawesi, along the northern
coast of Papua to the outer Niugini Islands. She currently lies in the township of Kavieng, Papua New Guinea.
This vessel should be considered great value for someone looking
to continue operations as a charter vessel or sail the seas in old world charm as a private yacht.

Dive compressor and gear available by negotiation.
