By definition, this boat is unique. Designed and built sixteen
years ago by her owner, a retired naval architect, this charming 22’ sloop is solidly made from ply. She is light and buoyant, and goes like the wind, especially downwind, when she has been known to surf at ten knots. She is sturdy and, for a ply boat, shapely too. She looks very smart with recently replaced sails and brand new cloth-work. Recently repainted top-sides and deck gleam. A self-tacking jib makes close-quarter handling a breeze under sail; the outboard engine can be angled to help get in and out of tight berths easily. Her accommodation is simple, but effective. And when you’ve snuck into that shallow anchorage on a falling tide, she’ll dry out nicely on the unusual but effective twin wing keels. And should the worst happen, she’s been designed with four water-tight compartments, so the owner claims she’s pretty much unsinkable. For somebody on a limited budget with an eye for the unusual, she’s definitely worth a look.
