GENERAL INTENT:
It is the intent of these Specifications and the contract plans that the Builder, shall construct, equip and furnish a vessel complete and fitted out in accordance with the best marine practice and these specifications and ready for service as a Private-use, Oceangoing Vessel.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:
Within thirty days of finalization of the contract, Builder shall provide to Owner and/or Owners Representative in writing a production schedule which shall include dates for, important material order, stage completions, stage payments, Owner supplied item deliveries, and Owner decision dates.
Production schedule will show the start and completion dates for the various stages of construction.
Schedule will be updated monthly. Any change in the start or completion dates shall be clearly identified.
PROGRESS REPORTS:
On the 1st of each month, during the construction period, the Builder
shall submit to the Designer and Owner and/or Owners Representative, photographs showing progress of the vessel's construction. Further, the Builder shall provide written status reports detailing progress to date, goods and equipment on order, received or installed in the vessel and a summary of change orders during the preceding month.
CHANGE ORDERS:
Changes or additions to the Specifications and/or Plans occurring after the
Contract signing shall be made only upon written request. All Change Orders shall be approved by Owner and/or Owners Representative and Designer in writing prior to the commencement of any work. Any change in cost due to alterations or deletions requested by the Owner shall be validated by the Owner's and/or Owners Representative authorized approval signature. If a change involves a delay in completion of construction and/or engineering, the time extended shall be approved by the Owner and/or Owners Representative.
The change in cost therewith, and the time involved in delaying completion
because of said change, shall be submitted by the Builder to the Owner's Agent simultaneously.
Any items to be upgraded shall be at actual cost difference. Any additional items will carry a 10% yard surcharge. Labor rate is specified in the Construction Contract.

The Builder shall provide the following certificates and any other applicable certificates required for a vessel of this class within normal operating parameters by IMO, US Coast Guard or other regulatory bodies having jurisdiction prior to delivery of the vessel.

CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY AND SURVEY:
The vessel shall be designed, constructed and classed to LLOYDS and MCA
ENSIGN-The Large Commercial Yacht Code (LY2) Classification shall be MCA and
LLOYDS 100 A1 SSC Yacht (P) Mono G6, LMC.
Builder shall bear all costs incurred for LLOYDS and MCA classification including drawing review.
VESSEL WARRANTY:
The Builder shall warranty the vessel, completed with all machinery, equipment
and fully outfitted for a period of twelve (12) months after formal delivery of the vessel to the Owner. Any claims made in this period as a result of faulty workmanship of the Builder shall be corrected to the satisfaction of the Owner at the Builders expense. Builders warranty shall also cover all subcontracted labor that the Builder may use in the construction of this vessel.
Any materials used in the construction of this vessel that may prove to be inferior within the warranty period shall be corrected at the sole expense of the Builder. All machinery, equipment and any other manufacturer warranties shall be validated to the Owner upon delivery. The Builder shall not be responsible for any premature failure of any manufactured component in the vessel, unless failure was a result from inferior workmanship.
All paint work shall be free from blistering, cracking, peeling, chalking or any other defect for the duration of the warranty period.
In the event the parties are unable to agree on any claims arising from the warranty the parties shall go before the American Arbitration Association for a resolution.

At the present at the Sumy shipyard have produced 20m Classic Schooner for the Swiss
customer and 17m Traditional schooner for the USA customer.
The integration between the specific production facilities and the research, engineering and development centers allows for the transfer of technology and knowhow to the diverse elements of the group thereby maintaining a continuous quality improvement and an optimization of the production processes. By the way - the own NormanBond technology allow to construct extreme light hull for race or fast power and sail boats.
About the Pavel Shaposhnikov:
55 years life experience, sea military officer, two high degreeUniversity education, married, have daughter. Leading design engineer 10 years at the biggest machinery building plant for military production, have sailing twenty seas and Atlantic, about 12 thousands sea mile as ship Captain. Taken part at lot of race regattas, repeatedly winner of national regattas and Kieler Wockhe. Single hand sailing experience. Yacht design - more then three hundred different designs. Official user Germanisher Lloyd and ABS Rules. Macintosh fan user, User Maxsurf Naval Architecture Software.
A very experienced of Manager, in some years the company have had about 200- 400 employers. Love life and people around, friendly and responsibility. Own workshop 72x36meter (under construction) and about 8000 sq.meter of land.

Pavel Shaposhnikov designs and builds boats at Norman Yacht Shipyard in the Ukraine. Mr. Shaposhnikov has quite an interesting background. He has two high degrees from RussianUniversity, was a decorated naval military officer, then went on to become the leading a design engineer for 10 years at the largest military machinery building plant. He has also logged 12,000 nautical miles as a ship captain, has taken part in many sailing regattas, and has been a repeat winner of the national regatta and
the Kieler Wockhe. Mr. Shaposhnikov has over 300 different yacht designs to his credit, and has developed a Carbon/Aluminum sandwich construction design which he guarantees is lighter and stronger than the competition. To date, Mr. Shaposhnikov has built many boats up to 75 feet in length, and plans to build boats up to 600 feet.
Norman Yachts has a own building currently under construction on about 8000 m of land. Depending upon the season and the number of orders in hand, he employs between 30 and 400 people. They are currently building five boats for European customers, and expect production to increase to 40-50 boats per year.
