This 38' Carver 3867 Santego is one of the more spacious boats in her class. She features a large flybridge, open cockpit, large salon, and forward stateroom to insure room, comfort, and convenience. Whether you are planning a day on water, a weekend getaway, or a cruise to the islands this Carver is ready to accommodate. On deck we start at the top with a flybridge with blue bimini top and full enclosure. The centerline helm station is aft with captain's chair at the helm. The helm is well equipped with a full complement of Raytheon electronics including: GPS/chart plotter, radar, Loran, and VHF radio. There's also a Lowrance digital depth sounder, and Ritchie compass. The bridge is large with guest seating on all sides, a stairway forward to the foredeck, and two ladders aft to take you below to the open cockpit. The cockpit is large enough for just about any endeavor from fishing to dining alfresco. There is a transom bench seat, transom door, steps to swim platform, and sliding door to the salon.The carpeted salon is bright and inviting. As you enter the salon you find a large u-shaped dinette to starboard. Across the salon there is a wraparound settee port side with a breakfast bar with ice maker dividing the salon from the galley that is forward and down. The galley features a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, two-burner cook top, built-in microwave oven,and solid surface counter top with stainless steel lobster pot sinks. The forward stateroom features an island double berth under-berth storage, two hanging lockers, and private access door to the head compartment. The head compartment has dual entrances, electric marine toilet, vanity with stainless steel sink, parquet floor, and shower stall. Both salon settee and dinette are convertible for extra sleeping accommodations when needed.Jim Dandy IV is powered by twin 340-hp Mercruiser engines with a top speed of 24 knots. Mechanical features include: Westerbeke generator, two reverse cycle HAC units, water heater, and Fireboy fire protection.
