GENERAL |
Built in excess of Lloyds 100 A1 specifications but not classified. Hull Fiberglass airex sandwich on traditional timber backbone, comprising stem, keelson, sternpost and deadwood timbers and for and aft stringers. Keelson of laminated air-dried iroko stem, sternpost and deadwood timbers laminated air-dried clear cypress. All pieces glued with resorcinol waterproof glue (Aerodux) and through bolted where specified with galvanized steel fasteners. Complete hull re-fairing, epoxy treatment, JOTUN painting and antifouling undertaken at African Marine shipyard Mombasa 1999 new rudder and steering arrangement. New propshaft and deep sea seal fitted. Annually dried out, hull scraped and antifouled. |

FIBERGLASS |
Lamination comprise 4 layer of chopped strand mat (csm) alternating with 3 layers of woven rovings over the outside or Airex core, 2 layers of csm alternating with 2 layers of woven rovings over the inside (11 laminations in all). Is self-draining and has one large locker aft and two smaller side lockers, all self-draining. One large lazarette extreme aft with independent hatches and self-draining aft. A permanent awning on a stainless steel frame shelters the cockpit that accommodates all sailing and rigging manoeuvres. New 2002 solid hardwood cockpit table drop leaf sides dismountable. Contained gas locker housing 2 x 6kg gas cylinders, constructed in 2006 utilizing on smaller side locker, drains through cockpit to sea. |

LIFELINES |
The deck is protected all round by stainless steel stanchions with safety lifelines. Foredeck safety lines replaced with plastic covered steel wire safety lines in 2006. The quarterdeck has a laminated teak handrail and the bowsprit has a stainless steel pulpit. |

RUDDER |
Double diagonal camphor over embedded stainless steel sections, sealed with two layers of csm fiberglass Rudder stock 1.5' stainless steel shaft carried in a GRP and plastic rudder tube with nylon bushings. Skeg stainless steel and integral with the long keel. Rudder removable for maintenance. New 2002 stainless steel emergency steering tiller. Rudder removed, refurbished and replaced in 2006. |

WINCHES |
Both sheet and halyard winches are by Lewmar. Sheet winches comprise 2 x 3 speed for Jib and 2 x 2 speed for Staysail. Outer forestay (Jib), Inner Forestay (Staysail), Mainsail, Reefing, Mizzen Staysail each have their own independent winches. |

DECK GEAR |
Deck fittings for running rigging are by Lewmar, and all sheets lead aft to cockpit for short handed sailing. |

ANCHORING |
Anchor windlass is a Francis Simpson Lawrence 24 volt with two independent chain sprockets and drum winches. Anchors are both CQR, 60lb and 45lb kedging anchor, both independently self stowing on stem head nylon rollers with their own chain pipes and chain lockers. Anchor chain 85m 5/10mm on the bow anchor and 25m chain and nylon warp on the kedging anchor. |

MASTS AND SPARS |
By Sparlight (now Proctor), Gold anodised aluminium Mizzen 38ft and the Main 50ft. Both masts steeped on deck with the main mast on a solid timber pillar carried through to the keelson aft with the main on a mast pillar comprising RSJ "I" beam and keel fitting. Masts fitted with masthead, steaming and deck lights all 24 volt with internal cable leads. |

Sails made to ocean cruising specification. New 2007 mainsail by Lee Sails of Hong Kong and 1999 Mizzen, Jib and Staysail made by Doyle Sails International Southampton (DURASAIL):

2 x 450 litre steel wing tanks (900 litre in total). Each independently piped to engine via main engine filter and water strainer. Independent filling points on each side of deck. Consumption approximately 6 litre per hour cruising 1800 rpm @ full hull speed. Tanks removed, refurbished and replaced in 2006. Electric fuel gauges and sender kits installed in 2006, gauges fitted beside engine panel in saloon. |

The interior has been designed so that no part of the hull is truly inaccessible. Hatches, lifting floors, etc ensure that all corners of the yacht are accessible. |

The yacht is fully fitted out with soft furnishings NEW 2005 including fitted cushions in saloon and aft cabin, fitted mattresses with covers, pillows, and lee cloths. Cockpit cushions. |

Between Port and Fore cabin is a full-length compartment independently lit via a deck head light and with hooks and shelves for sheet and tackle stowage |

DECKHOUSE |
Entered from quarterdeck via companionway having washboards and a sliding hatch. Flag rack under companionway, steps and a wet/pump locker to starboard under side deck. Cabin floor immediately under steps is a self-draining hardwood grating.
Deckhouse is main living area with saloon table and "L" shaped curving settee to Port. Saloon table with two large, folding leaves and a central slide down drinks cabinet is constructed around two rope motif pillars at either end that are carried through to the floor beams under the floor. There are large storage lockers behind and underneath the settee. The Port settee back folds down making a large double bed with the locker surfaces under the portside deck. Against the forward bulkhead on the port side are hardwood bookshelves.
To starboard is a full sized chart table with a swinging Captain's chair. Chart table has 4 full depth drawers for charts in addition to 7 smaller drawers for miscellaneous items. Conveniently arrange in the chart table area is the interior steering position, engine ignition, instrument panel, navigation instruments, a CD and tape player. Behind the chart table is a full-length quarter berth (more often used for stowage).
For ventilation and comfort the deckhouse has one opening window forward and two opening hatches. There is an opening porthole on the aft bulkhead. Forward in the port corner is a two-speed 24 volt centrifugal fan delivering cool air to all parts of the saloon via a panel of deflectors. Air-conditioning provided from Clima C12 water cooled air-conditioning unit, control panel situated above the chart table. |

AFT CABIN |
2 x Vee berths, one converting into double. Ample drawer and hanging space including one full length-hanging cupboard. One corner covered basin with fresh water supply. All cupboard doors louvered, main cabin door fitted with moving louvers for comfort and privacy. All joinery beautifully crafted in solid mahogany including rope motif pillar. Cabin floor is hardwood parquet. Lighting: 1 x LED ceiling light and two brass reading lights. Ventilation: 2 x rotating 24 volt fan and two mushroom ventilators. Gerbo deck hatch cover and 2 x opening portholes to port and starboard. The aft cabin has a bathroom and head en suite. Hot and cold pressure shower. 3 louvered door cupboards, shelving, towel rack and LED ceiling light. Bathroom floor had hardwood gratings. GRP sealed floor and shower water drainage to aft bilge. 1 x opening porthole. Air-conditioning provided from Clima C12 water cooled air-conditioning unit, control panel situated above the saloon chart table. |

2x decked berths, drawers and louvered door cupboard, shelving and rope motif pillar. All joinery beautifully crafted in solid mahogany. Lighting: 1 LED ceiling light and two brass reading lights. Ventilation: 1 x 24 volt rotating fan. Deck hatch over and two opening portholes. 1 large bulkhead partition folds down to make optional table and open plan connection with galley. Lower berth child protected by lee cloth. Main door with moving louvers for privacy and comfort. Floors hardwood parquet. Air-conditioning provided from Clima C9 water cooled air-conditioning unit, control panel situated on the forward bulkhead of this cabin. |

1 x large double vee berth to starboard, 1 single berth to port. Chain lockers under berths forward. Drawers, shelving and louvered door cupboard. Rope motif pillar. Independent access to forward bathroom. Both bathroom and main door have movable louvers for privacy and comfort. All joinery beautifully crafted in solid mahogany.
