She combines comfort, performance and security. She comes back from around the world trip by the trade winds plus a back and forth crossing of the Atlantic i.e. nearly 50 000 miles. Yard: by the owner, type : JFC 41, Architects : J and N FAUROUX, Year : 2002, authorized in class A for 6 persons. Length : 12,5m, width : 6,87m, draft: 1,1m, displacement : 6,5 tons and 8,5 tons full weight. Materials : strip-planking for the bottom of the hulls and plywood west system for the rest. Motors : 2 x 25/27 hp LOMBARDINI with 3 blade shaft propellers , 4700 hrs, revised in 2007. Gas-oil tanks : 2x 220L in polyethylene Anti-fouling in 2007 Inside paints in 2007 OWNER COMMENTS: I built the boat myself from top to bottom in strip planking and plywood west system and went to a round the world trip via Panama and Suez canal from 2002 and 2006. Then, I crossed the Atlantic a second time back in 2007 most of the time single handed. I bought a new set of sails in 2006 and the engines have been revised in the Caribbean by a top class specialist in Lombardini engines. They both have 4700 hours and work like brand new.
