Pitman Arm Hoist:
This is a 20,000 lb capacity, extendable boom hydraulic hoist, powered by a dedicated 4 cyl diesel engine and gear.
The cleats measure about 30" in length, along with a major towing post shown in the pics.
This is a cold riveted steel boat that has never been in salt water. It has a fantail aft deck with a hatchway leading to the engine room. Walk through a steel door through a steel bulkhead to the large belowdecks hold. Fore and aft are water tight bulkheads. The aft compartment is used for ballast via a large water pump.
Topside is the wheelhouse, crews quarters and cooking area which was built for a one time trip south. At that point, it was to be replaced with aft wheelhouse and quarters.
The headroom below decks is 7.5'. This includes the engine room and main compartment.
