Horizon, although relatively new to America, is well known in Europe and Asia as a state of the art producer of one of the finest lines of yachts available today. Previous production has been sold almost exclusively in the demanding European market, where Horizon competes successfully with the highest level of competition. Horizon yachts are custom built at the Horizon yard in Taiwan where a truly international effort has blended top quality specification and project management, Italian design, and the value and craftsmanship for which Taiwan is renown.
The Horizon yard, located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is the largest and most modern yard in Taiwan being twice the size of its nearest competitor. Horizon builds over 30 yachts a year including the Horizon 65 and 110 series designed by Tomasso Spadolini. Unlike other Taiwan builders, Horizon does not solicit outside contractors, but rather all 340 employees are full time, career workers dedicated solely to Horizon yachts.
Horizon management encourages the client to participate directly in the developmental phases of the yacht construction. They appreciate the need for all parties to understand the process of construction and approve the interior design layout. A complete record on every boat ever built at Horizon is available in the yard archives, thereby allowing any owner or future owner access whenever needed.
