Lazzara Yachts has a long history before the corporation bore the name Lazzara. Vince Lazzara built the first large fiberglass sailing yacht in 1956, starting a turn in yacht manufacturing. In 1991, Dick and Brad Lazzara formed Lazzara Yacht Corporation. Today, the yachts range from 75 feet to 105 feet in length, and can be constructed in at least eight months with an auto industry-like production line. Lazzara builds a select number of personalized yachts yearly in Tampa, Florida. The style and performance combination is a focus point in yachts designed by Lazzara. Awards for quality and design have been plentiful for Lazzara, from various entities: a division of Mercedes Benz, Showboats International, International Superyacht Design, and the American Society of Interior Designers.
