Princess Yachts International is the largest production boatbuilder in Britain. They are unique amongst the major British builders in building both sail and power boats. Princess Yachts International keeps constant control of quality by producing as much in house as possible. Apart from the main waterfront factory at their Head Office, Princess Yachts International has four other production units in the Plymouth area. Apart from the more obvious processes of moulding hulls and superstructures, these units produce all the interior woodwork and furniture, together with all the metalwork such as the stainless steel rails, fittings and fuel tanks.
Princess Yachts International have invested a great deal in manufacturing processes and facilities over the past year, recently acquiring an additional 250,000 sq ft of factory space to make a total in excess of 700,000 sq ft. They are reputed to have the most modern process plants in boat building, in Europe today - in fact Princess Yachts International are believed to have the most modern methods in furniture and paint spraying of any manufacturer in Europe.
