(LOCATION: Englewood FL) The Boston Whaler 285 Conquest is an offshore express with size, comfort, and fish-ability. Add the performance of twin 225-hp Mercurys and you have the complete package. She is a family cruiser/fisherman with style, offshore handling, flawless finish, and unsinkable construction. The current owner is not a fisherman and used her mainly as a pleasure boat.
This 285 Conquest features a hardtop with full enclosure, camper canvas, helm cover, and engine covers. The helm is starboard with adjustable captain's chair. Electronics include Furuno GPS, radar, depth finder, fish finder, VHF Radio, and Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo. Guest seating includes port side companion lounge, and a fold-away transom bench seat.
This is a family cruiser that seldom goes fishing but fish-ability is guaranteed with flush mount rod holders, outriggers, live well, in-deck fish boxes, cockpit bolsters, and of course drink holders. A transom door leads to a swim platform with boarding ladder. Forward we have a stainless steel bow rail and bow pulpit with anchor and windlass.
The air conditioned cabin has roomy mid-cabin layout with teak & holly sole. There's a forward dinette/v-berth with removable table and under-seat storage. The galley has upper & lower maple cabinets, Corian counter top with integrated sink, single-burner electric cooktop, built-in microwave oven, and under-counter refrigerator. The mid-cabin has a double berth. The enclosed head compartment has VacuFlush head, mirrored vanity, and stand-up shower. There is ample accommodations for overnight and weekend getaways.
Power is provided by twin 225 horsepower Mercury Optimax engines with low hours and high performance. A Kohler 4kW genset provides offshore electrical power.
