Description

SELLER DESCRIPTION

Introduction
“Grand Patrician” is an
extraordinary well maintained single owner, low hour (133hrs), 3 staterooms w/ a crew quarters, 3 heads/showers, fully optioned World Class Yacht designed by Italian naval architect Nuvolari – Lenard, and hand crafted with American ingenuity, components and systems.  The Marquis 59 has defined the new standard of luxury.

We visited the factory during construction and selected the various fabrics, counter tops, wall coverings, colors, etc.  Once completed, we took delivery in June of 2005 and was only able to use the boat briefly for two years in 2005 and 2008; i.e., only in the water a grand total of (10 months over the last 4 yrs; May thru Sep). During 2006 and 2007, she was dry-docked (in-door storage).  Also, during the winter months she was always laid up in heated in-door storage facility.  The yacht has only been in fresh water (Lake Michigan).

She offers sweeping lines, functional use of abundant space, luxurious décor, and superior construction and engineering, with all the options you would expect of a premier yacht. Grand Patrician also meets the European Community’s Class A Standard, as one of only a few domestic-built yachts to have earned that distinction.

Options of particular note include SAT TV w/ (4) digital converter boxes (one for every TV, including the pilothouse helm electronics display), has upper and lower helm, stern & bow thrusters, electric pilothouse door, Nautica Rib jet tender on hydraulic swim platform, Raytheon E-Series Networked Electronics Package, plus many more.

“Grand Patrician” is truly a unique vessel given her infrequent use on fresh water w/ very low hours, excellent condition, and numerous options.

Vessel Walkthrough
The yacht can be accessed via boarding gates, port and starboard, or via the swim platform and transom door. The large swim platform is hydraulic, moving out and down, with remote control (wired controller or wireless key chain), for easy tender storage and launching.  The swim platform has a cradle that holds a Nautica Rib 12 Jet that is 11’5” LOA, 5’4” beam, weighs 575lbs, holds 5 passengers, stores 12 gal of fuel, and 80hp Yamaha engine; that exceeds 40mph.  Anchor the yacht off a sandy beach, load the passengers in the Nautica tender, push the wireless key chain button to lower the swim platform automatically, key start the engine, and now take-off to the beach and pull right up on shore!  The Nautica can be used to pull to a skier, water tube, kneeboard, or other water toys.  Includes both standard and optional equipment such as mooring cleats, hand rails, anchor/running lights, bilge pump, bow storage locker, fiberglass deep “V” hull, deluxe seating, fire extinguisher, and driving console w/ steering wheel, fwd & reverse shifter, throttle, compass, VHF radio, fuel gauge, deep finder, speedometer, tachometer, 12vdc power plug, engine blower, horn, ckt breakers, and a swim platform w/ ladder on the stern.  It’s a small boat on the yacht, ready to go at the push of a button!  Original cost was $24,700.  Because of the jet propulsion design, she can skim across any water depth to reach those shallow ports or sandy beaches without worry.  We your ready to return, pull up over the lowered swim platform and cradle, push the wireless key chain button to raise the swim platform and your back safely and securely on the yacht.

Once back on the yacht swim platform, there is a full height watertight access door that opens below (step down) to the crew quarters (lazarette).  The crew quarters includes a bed, sink, shower, toilet, and several storage cabinets.  Once in the crew quarters, there is a 2nd watertight door to enter the well-lit, full height spacious engine room with plenty of room to work on the engines and clearly labeled switch/circuit breaker panels; which can also be entered through a hatch with ladder from the rear cockpit.

Also from the swim platform, you can enter walk up some stairs and enter the large rear cockpit via a transom door.  The rear cockpit has weather protection from the upper deck which provides an extended overhang. This area has full aft seating along the transom with a custom high-gloss wooden cockpit table for eating outside.  There are closed storage areas on the port/starboard transom corners for boat cleaning supplies, ropes, etc., including Dual Capstan Winches with Foot Switches to assist pulling the yacht against the dock.  The rear cockpit also has access to various outside lighting scenes, and full control of the outdoor entertainment system (CD changer, Satellite radio, & AM/FM radio).

From the rear cockpit, you can walk inside the yacht and into the salon through the large mirrored glass stainless steel sliding door, or up a fiberglass modeled stairway to the upper flybridge/helm, or walk up the ample side deck headed towards the bow where you find a comfortable hand rail and a secure feeling protected by high fiberglass sides/gunnels.  At the bow you find four deck hatches: the center deck hatch contains the windlass, two for storage, and the fourth is for shore power. The spotlight is mounted in the forepeak and is a large sunbathing cushion

After walking thru the sliding glass door, the salon boasts two full size sofas (one pulls out to a bed and the other converts into two recliners), a matching barrel chair, Plasma TV, heating/air conditioning controls, complete entertainment and beverage centers, custom roman pleated blinds on the windows for privacy, and storage cabinets w/ hidden access port for the central vacuum system.  The galley, dinette, and pilothouse helm are just two steps up and forward. The pilothouse helm, with full electronics and controls, is centerline, offset from the dinette seating area. A port side electric door makes for easy access to the deck. The galley is equipped with dishwasher, trash compactor, refrigerator, separate freezer with icemaker, smooth top stove, microwave/convection oven, retractable coffee maker, black granite countertops, stainless steel sinks, and storage/china cabinets.

On the port side of the pilothouse helm, there is a winding and well lit stairway down to the companionway, that ends with an LED lighted granite inlay on the floor, along with passage to the three luxurious staterooms appointed in premium fabrics and wall coverings with the full beam master located midship, and the VIP and guests/crew staterooms located forward.  Premier furnishings include cherry cabinets with Italian marble inlays, cherry wood sea rails, high gloss jewel finish and cherry wood doors. There are two spacious heads, each with marble flooring and separate shower stall for the guest head and a tub/shower combination in the master. The companionway includes a closet housing washer and dryer stacked units.  The VIP stateroom has queen sized berth, plenty of storage, cedar closets, fold down flat screen TV/DVD player, stereo CD player, generous lighting and private access to the VIP bath/head.  Aft to port you have the upper/lower bunk stateroom w/ cedar closet and the guest head across the hall to starboard.  Aft of the landing area is the beautiful master stateroom with a full centerline king sized bed. This comfortable and luxurious stateroom boasts a private huge head with a full size tub and shower enclosure and voluminous closet and storage spaces. The master includes plenty of storage, hidden central vacuum system/hook-up, his and hers cedar closets, and full entertainment system w/ flat screen TV, and DVD/CD/radio player.

Also from the rear cockpit, there is a comfortable enclosed modeled fiberglass stairway with thoughtfully spaced steps that lead to the spacious flybridge/helm. It has a factory hard top, with isinglass enclosures on all sides. The helm station is massive with all the state-of-the-art networked electronics and well-laid-out with good sightlines for 360 degree views. There’s also lots of seating and entertaining space, plus a deep space aft w/ tanning pad for additional sunning to supplement the big pad on the foredeck. Entertaining is made easy with the bridge refrigerator, icemaker, wet bar, grill, large table/counter tops, and dedicated sound system.
