LAYOUT
"Bad Buoy" has an impressive all weather layout with a well equipped raised pilothouse and flybridge with hardtop and full enclosure. The owners have enjoyed cruising this boat from both the upper and lower helms and both have a full array of electronics. The bridge is especially large and provides a captain and companion seat at the helm, wetbar with sink and fridge/freezer, a second bench seat and a u-shaped lounge with table. Aft of the seating is a bridge deck with davit and chocks which can easily accomodate a personal water craft or a tender up to 12 feet. Access to the bridge can be had from the cockpit or a stairway leading up from the pilothouse. The cockpit provides room for additional chairs and makes watersports a breeze with easy access to the large swim platform. Engine room access is through the cockpit making for a clean and easy way to reach the mechanicals of the vessel.
Inside a warm and rich gloss cherry wood interior is complimented with neutral beige carpets and runners. The salon sofa and settee are done in a soft ultra-leather and there is a table for cocktails and dining. The galley has black galaxy countertops and abundance of cabinetry and equipment. Forward and up two steps is the pilothouse which has another wrap around settee done in ultra leather and is a great climate controlled area for captain and guests to cruise the boat from. There is also a side door leading out from the pilothouse on the starboard side which makes line handling or going forward to relax on the foredeck a breeze.
Moving down a slightly curved companionway lined in cherry wood with built in display shelves, the master stateroom is found midships and is full beam. This stateroom rivals those found on a much larger yacht and features a large berth with nightstands on both sides, built in dresser, multiple hanging and shelved lockers, hidden washer and dryer, centered vanity with private room for the vacuflush head to one side and a second private room with tub and shower on the other. The LCD TV is built into the cherry wood lined bulkhead and has its own DVD player. Forward of the Master and to port is the guest stateroom featuring a nice size set of bunks with ample length for adults. To starboard is the guest head with access from the companionway as well as the VIP stateroom. This head has a large stall shower with built in seat. Forward is the VIP stateroom with center island double berth, built in LCD TV and DVD, and hanging locker and drawer storage.

Powered by very economical Volvo TAMD 75 engines which can cruise the boat all day long at 9.5 knots at 10 gallons per hour or faster at 18-20 knots burning 34 gallons per hour, "Bad Buoy" has been captained by an experienced second owner from as far north as Maine all the way down to South Carolina. The boat has been set up to enjoy extended time at anchor or mooring with ease featuring a water maker as well as an inverter and upgraded battery bank and monitoring system. She has been kept predominatly as a northern boat spending previous winters on land in a heated storage buiding. With 750 hours on the engines and just 650 hours on the genset, this boat has seen the appropriate amount of use for a 5 year old boat and maintenance has always been a top priority.
