INTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS
A true walk-around, this boat has quite the interior space for a 30 footer. A double companionway door gives ample access down to the cabin. To port you’ll find a well laid-out galley including a GE microwave oven, a frig-freezer, a pressurized fresh water sink, and a single-burner alcohol/electric stove with a removable cutting board top. The standup head with shower is to starboard and includes a reliable Jabsco marine head system. Forward is a convertible dinette with table which also converts to a double V-berth along with the addition of the quarter berth aft – she can sleep three comfortably. The control panel is accessed from the cabin aft wall, along with the AM/FM/Cassette Stereo with 4 speakers, and there is a carbon monoxide detector for safety. The anchor locker is accessible forward of the berth and complimentary lighting abounds. A warm relaxed décor with upscale fabrics offers a pleasant area to overnight as well as providing some of the comforts of home.
EXTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS
In this year, 1999, they re-designed the 30’ Marlin. A sleeker looking port window as well as the signature deep and wide side decks, this boat offers unmatched walk-about safety. Exterior gelcoat is in sparkling condition. This cockpit is deep and uncluttered with excellent non-skid throughout the walking surfaces. A huge 30-gallon livewell at the transom with raw water washdown just below, and just behind the helm is a bait prep station with freshwater sink. There’s a transom door leading to a built-in engine bracket/dive platform including a swim ladder. A comfortable transom bench has a hatch that lifts to access pumps, batteries with switches, seacocks and plumbing. A forward fishbox with overboard drain is under the passenger chair. There is excellent storage throughout the cockpit, and for rod storage: 6 rocket launchers, 4 gunwale-mounted rod holders, and 4 under-gunwale storage racks. With some storage inside the cabin, you get to have more of your favorite gear onboard for your fishing trips or cruises. The raised bridge deck provides clear visibility in all directions. There is a full complement of electronics, Yamaha Digital Gauges, and remote for the Horizon 500 anchor windlass (with over 150’ anchor rode connected to a Danforth plow anchor). The sturdy bow rail offers security walking fore and aft. There’s the forward hatch for access and ventilation to the cabin. The 1⁄2 tower w/ hardtop is factory-installed assuring excellent structural stability, which includes a 4-sided isinglass enclosure and a low-profile helm station cover. Ladder steps were fit on either side of the aft supports allow for access to the hardtop or for a future installation of a second station.
ELECTRONICS SPECIFICATIONS
There’s two VHF’s-one’s a commercial ICOM and the other ICOM IC-M127 is also very powerful. A Raytheon RL70 48-mile 4kw radar, a Northstar 951X GPS chartplotter and the Furuno FCV-582L color recording fishfinder. A newly installed Guest remote spotlight sits atop the 1⁄2 tower. An AM/FM/Cassette stereo pipes music to 4 speakers (2 inside/2 outside).
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS
These Yamaha 250HP EFI Outboards are longed considered the absolute standard in blue water fishing boats, and with only 120+ HOURS, THESE MOTORS ARE PRACTICALLY JUST BROKEN IN! Dual hydraulic Sea Star steering offers smooth helm control as well as precision tracking. To make the necessary fresh water flush-out of the engines easier – a convenient quick-change flush kit is installed on both engines. Inside the cabin is 16,000 BTU Marine air conditioning can run with the shorepower or with the hardly-used 5KW Kohler generator (less than 20 hours). ). A 30-amp shorepower system provides the AC current when not running on the generator. The Dytek battery charger keeps the 4 batteries well charged. Electric/hydraulic trim tabs provide attitude adjustment and keep her stable in tricky seas. The polished stainless steel props assure good bite and fast acceleration while providing better fuel economy. She cruises 25 knots and top end is well over 35 knots. An expensive set of Yamaha gauges were installed; twin tachometers, a speed/fuel supply plus the desirable Fuel Management System gauge with its real-time data for optimum cruising range/fuel consumption guidance. REMARKS
