The Island Girl is a 56' Hartman Palmer Motor Yacht meticulously refitted to like new condition. She will be crusing the waterways along the great circle beginning in April of 2006. The custom built vessel contains two spacious staterooms with high ceilings and detailed woodwork. Further the forward V-berth sleeps three comfortably and contains a full-size washer-dryer. There are three large heads with three showers and one full-size tub in the Master. A fully appointed galley with seating for six, new oven, flattop range, full size refrigerator and ample storage is perfect for live aboard or long voyages. The salon is the center of entertainment onboard; Seating for 7+, wet bar, flat screen LCD 5.1 Digital DVD entertainment center and illuminated etched glass murals. The back deck is fully enclosed with new canvas/isinglass windows has a two burner stove, refrigerator/ice maker, wet bar and solid teak table and chairs with seating for six.
The Island Girl is a true touring vessel with a cruise speed of 10 knots and two bridges so the boat can be enjoyed in any weather. The custom Johnson Towers 671Ti dual Detroit Diesels, and the pair of Westerbeke Generators allow this vessel to venture anywhere without leaving the comforts of home. All rooms have 120v and 12v outlets and the 220v powers the 5 onboard air-conditioning units. The flying bridge has seating for more than 25 people, expansive biminy, and a full helm with captain chair and audio entertainment system. Also at the stern of the flying bridge a 700 lbs. davit and fiberglass dingy with 9.9 hp Mercury gives a much-desired sense of security and doubles as a tender. Both the Flying and Pilot House have GPS, Auto Pilot, VHF and depth; While the Pilot House has Furuno Radar and additional electronics.
