The Mako 234s classic lines and layout as well as her aggressive V-hull constructed of all composites are designed for long life and better performance. Her 21 degree deadrise mean she has the great handling you want and the wave taming action you demand. Aggressive chines keep you dry as you head off-shore and increased lifting surfaces get the hull higher out of the water improving performance. High interior free-board means she is safer for kids on board and provides a great support to lean into a fight. Back aft, the lower transom lets you easily manouver around the engine without hanging up. This boat is the complete packege, including a dual axle Road King trailer.
The fordeck has a great amount of storage and a high caprail to keep the little ones inside and provide a nice spot to really lean in and fight a fish. Features abound that sets Mako apart from the rest. Hydraulic lifts on all hatches and strong seals for water intrusion and a quiet ride when things kick up.
The console has room for storage inside when you have to get back to the real world. The large entry door had a stainless latch for security. Inside you have access to wiring runs for adding your favorite extras in electronics. Plenty of room for a porta pottie.
At the helm, the Mako 234CC has a tempered glass windshield for clear view underway. Steering is a three spoke cast aluminum wheel with speed knob, and Sea Star hydraulic steering. Recessed Bennet trim tabs switches are located near the dual drink holders in the right of the dash. The dash top has lots of room for added gear along with a compass. The front surface has a Garmin GPS Map 4208. There is a VHF and full engine gauges.
The aft cockpit will be the hot spot for fishing. In the stern is a 20 gallon aerated livewell to keep the bait lively. The raw water washdown is also in this area to rinse off the decks after a long day of fishing. Rod racks under the gunwales have handy fold-away racks that keep the racks from scraping your shins if they are empty. These racks hold three rods per side under the wide caprail in the aft cockpit. Two rods holders are in the tops on each side. For more safety there are cockpit bolsters and a toe kick rail to give you leverage against the strong pull of a fighting fish. Keep your fish fresh in dual 57 fish boxes in the floor of the aft cockpit. These boxes have overboard drains. A panel in the stern allows access to fuel water separators, oil reservoirs and through hull shutoffs.
Evinrudes E-Tec is a high tec engine that can save over 40% on fuel cost compared to engines using older technology. Micro computers perform thousands of task each second to be sure the precise amount of fuel is burnt for maximum performance and economy. With only 90 hours this E-Tec is barely broke in. You can spend more time on the water and less at the fuel dock.

I had my first experience with Mako in 1977. We were testing a 23 Mako for a magazine article about Coho Fishing in the Great Lakes. They asked us to find the weak points and on a snotty day, with the steep freshwater chop, the only weak point was us. Mako has been building hard core fishing machines for 40 years. From the aggressive V hull to the classic Mako styling to the many features that set Mako apart from other, lesser boats, this is one that is sure to please. Highly fishable, yet family freindly.
