The Ocean 40 Super Sport features sleek styling, innovative interior, and excellent performance. The Ocean 40 Super Sport is an excellent fisherman and an outstanding cruiser.On deck we begin at the top with the large bridge with hardtop and full enclosure. The centerline helm station has captain and companion chairs behind an expansive helm with a full complement of electronics. Guest seating is a wrap-around lounge forward of the helm and continuing port side. There s lots of room for your guests to enjoy the sea view and sea air. A stainless steel ladder aft takes us below to an 80 sq. ft. cockpit. The cockpit features engine room access, prep station with sink and tackle center, live well, fish boxes, raw water wash down, and transom door. If you are fishing you might add a fighting chair, the non-fisherman might prefer some comfortable deck chairs. A starboard cabin door takes us to the salon.The luxurious salon features an L-shaped leather settee port side with drop leaf cherry table. Starboard is an upholstered easy chair along side a corner cabinet with U-line ice maker, very handy at cocktail time. The center forward area of the salon is dominated by an elevated horseshoe dinette with overhead television. Starboard is a galley that disguises the nature of its purpose. Most shipboard galleys try to look like kitchens. This galley is designed to blend into the salon and the overall effect is a very comfortable salon with hidden utility. All the features are there that you expect and need in a marine galley. There s an electric cook top with two burners, Corian counter top with sink, and under-counter refrigerator. It s a nice blend of function and style.Forward are two staterooms with the master mid-ship with island queen berth, nightstands, mirrored bulkhead, cedar-lined lockers, built-in TV, and a Bendix washer/dryer. The forward guest stateroom has lower double berth and upper single berth, and hanging locker. An additional pullout berth is in the salon with the convertible settee. The head compartment features an electric head, mirrored vanity with sink, and shower.Katy Jane V is power by twin Caterpillar 3126 diesel engines with 420 hp each and 1580 hours. They produce a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. The list of features on this Ocean 40 includes central vacuum, washer/dryer, reverse cycle HAC, Westerbeke generator, and bow pulpit with anchor and windlass.
