Description

 If you desire to own a classic wooden yacht of the caliber of a Grand Banks or better, this vessel deserves your serious attention!

She is American built by the well respected Nimphius Boat Works in Neshkoro, Wisconsin. Built of the finest materials, double planked, vertical grain teak decks, mahogany interior and much more. Over the past 4 years she has been updated, restored in fit and finish with major system upgrades.
Current projects include replacement and rebedding of the windows in the saloon and windshield. Survey in progress. Condition of fastenings and structurals is excellent. Vessel will be significantly repainted by spring. This vessel is highly recommended.

Accommodations
Master stateroom forward, with near king size double, vanity, hanging lockers, drawers and shelves. Ladder and hatch provide ventilation and escape. Fixed ports fwd and sliding ports provide excellent light. Newly painted off white with mahogany trim. Access to fwd bilge. Access to anchor locker.

Just aft on the starboard side is the master head with shower stall, teak grate. Shower drains into an automatic sump pump tank. Good light and ventilation. Newly painted off white with mahogany trim.

Port side is a guest stateroom with two generous bunks, drawers and hanging locker. Good light and ventilation. Access to wiring behind lower helm. Newly painted with mahogany trim.

Moving aft, step up two steps into the pilot house. This space is approx. 8' x 11' Large counter and chart storage.


Pilot berth aft on the port side. New cushions. Sliding doors port and stbd to decks. Access to engine room. Locker with drawer to stbd. Ports looking aft. All mahogany. Helm is very handsome and feels like a small ship. Circuit breaker panels are new and located next to helm. AC circuits breakers located on stbd side in lockers. Excellent visibility in this spacious and bright pilothouse. Center windshield swings out.

Moving aft, step down two steps into the large salon. Port side is the U shaped galley. Near new 12v/110v Norcold upright refrigerator, electric range, double sink, bar counter with Asco s/s dishwasher under. Liquor cabinet on end. Stbd side is a day head. All mahogany, opening port, excellent storage. Saloon is approx 10'6 x 15', large L shaped settee in aft stbd corner, double sliding doors to cockpit, space for a table and chairs or two easy chairs on the stbd side. All woodwork is mahogany joinery with bright varnish. Overhead is white panels with mahogany trim. Abundant storage lockers with vented doors. Storage under settee. Generous glass provides excellent visibility standing or sitting. Sole is carpet. Hatch access to cargo hold/bilge, tanks and shafts.

Construction
Hull, Decks and Superstructures
Semi to full displacement, round bilge, raked stem and transom stern. Very pleasing hull shape and underbody, slight tumblehome.Constructed of carvel double planking, cedar inner and hondorus mahogany outer. Inner planking is back fastened to outer planking. Hull is very fair. Bronze fastened. Fastenings pulled from the bottom in April 02 were in excellent condition. Frames are steam bent 1 3/4 inch x 1 inch on 10 inch centers. Transom is double planked, diagonal inner and teak planked outer. Keel is laminated white oak, bronze fastened. The hull, decks and superstructures are in very good condition.
Bottom was stripped, sanded and repainted. Planking is in excellent condition.
Decks are teak, layed in bedding compound on marine plywood. Excellent drainage. Weathered gray.
Cabin tops are fiberglassed and or epoxied and painted
Cabin trunks are solid mahogany with paint
Cabin trunk forward face and windshield were stripped, epoxied with fiberglass cloth and painted
Flying bridge is fiberglassed, epoxied coated and painted
Cabin top handrails, FB cap rail, cabin trunk trim were stripped, epoxied and painted
All trim is teak or white oak
Handrails, teak, stripped, sealed and painted.
Bilges have been thouroughly cleaned, boat is tight and dry.

12 Volt DC system, starting bank is 2 8D starting batteries in parallel new in 2000,
House bank is 2 8D deep cycle batteries in parallel new in 02. 110V dockside with 30A and 50A input port & stbd.
Heart Freedom inverter 2000w new in 99 or 00? New battery switch and #00 feeder / neg return to batteries 02.
Link 2000 interface monitor at lower helm 99 or 00
Onan 8kw diesel generator rebuilt 2000
Engines completely rewired, charging and start circuits 02

Wiring: all major wiring replaced 2002, tin coated #00 for batteries, new battery switches, many new circuits, new circuit breaker panels at lower helm and FB, feeders protected by new inline block fusing. Existing wiring that remained was inspected and is in very good condition.

New fiberglassed battery boxes

Generator Onan 8kw rebuilt 2000, located in locker in cockpit, new seawater strainer, battery switch and #00 wiring 02 to its own start battery new in 01, good sound proofing, cooling is fresh water heat exchanger, exhaust is metallic Aqua lift in very good condition with new hoses to new seacocks. New seawater strainer in 02. Oil drip pan.

Deck
Decks and Exterior
Walk around teak decks, stern cockpit, transom door, generous swim/boarding platform across stern. Port side salon roof space for up to 13' whaler or inflatable, davit and electric winch, (chocks and davit removed at this time, can be easily replaced) Flying bridge is spacious, has full bimini top and custom bridge cover. False stack is rope and dunnage locker. Stack also provides natural ventilation from the engine room. Bomar hatch provides access. Most hardware, stanchion bases, handrails were removed and re-bedded.

Water heater is Raritan 12 gal, 110v and ready for engine heat exchanger.

Toilets
Vacu Flush toilets were rebuilt, two complete stand alone systems with separate holding tanks and deck pumpout, both systems replumbed with new odor proof sanitation hose, pumps reinstalled in good servicable locations, rewired, new check valves.

Groco seawater strainer and seacock provide seawater to both saltwater pumps, new 02

Anchoring
A new anchoring system was designed and installed in 02. Laminated 4' solid wood anchor platform with 2' overhang. Double s/s bow rollers welded together for extra strength, Lofrans electric windlass, primary rode is 200' 3/8 Acco HT chain, chain feed to locker, Stainless custom mooring bit, large stainless chocks on toe rail, 65lb CQR with stainless swivel, on deck anchor washdown, chain pipes for the two danforth anchors stored on deck. Anchoring out is easy with this heavy ground tackle system.
