Simply Put 'Intermission' Stands Tall. No expense was spared during her cosmetic / mechanical / electrical refit which included, but not limited to, engine and transmission overhauls since 2001. She boasts yacht quality interior appointments, nearly unblemished exterior condition, and only 200 hours on re-worked DD6-71N's. Since August of 2007 she's been hauled for fresh bottom paint, zinc replacement, and the shafts and props were checked and trued as required. The owner has also installed new rubber backed berber carpet throughout the upper and lower stations, and a new 'Stamoid' top was fabricated for the upper helm enclosure. While dozens of additional pictures are available to interested parties this is a must see vessel for anyone in the classic motor yacht market. We're confident you'll find that 'Intermission' presents herself extraordinarily well, and we welcome the opportunity to have you put her through her paces. Brokers Comments: Please see 'Full Specs' or 'Vessel Details' for a brief accounting of work performed. All records and manuals are available and will of course transfer with the vessel. Accommodations And Layout - Very tasteful interior refit with a two stateroom / two head layout. All cabin soft goods were updated including all carpet with salon runner, valances and drapes, new barrel chairs and sleeper sofa. The oversized lexan skylight and custom entertainment center featuring a Sony flat screen with home style sound system make this a very open and inviting area to be sure. All new Corian countertops with under-counter accent lighting and a new Corian dinette table were installed. The dinette features leatherette seating and very attractive overhead light fixtures. The galley was updated with a new two door refrigerator/freezer, trash compactor, and stainless microwave. All soft goods in both staterooms were updated and the electric heads were replaced with Vac-u-Flush holding tank systems. The forward stateroom features a V-berth with storage beneath, a hanging locker to starboard and private entry to the forward head compartment. The queen aft stateroom features two hanging lockers, abundant drawer storage, an additional flat screen TV and very attractive accent lighting. The aft head features a separate shower stall and mirrored ceiling. The aft stateroom / head arrangement is very similar to that found on mid to late eighties Viking 44 ACMY's
- The lower helm area features newer Faria gauges, new high quality berber carpet, reupholstered seating, a wet bar with ice maker and additional storage. The concealed electrical panel is to port of the helm station with a covered chart table above. Below helm electrical connections were examined and found to be corrosion free and the wiring looms clearly marked. The enclosure was found to be in very good condition with no rips or tears and the heavy duty eisenglass was clear but could use polishing. A 'hide-a-way' flat screen TV is located above the helm station and new stereo speakers have been installed to support the upgraded stereo system with power amp.
- The upper helm also features newer Faria gauges, new high quality berber carpet, and all seating has also been reupholstered. The enclosure was found to be in very good condition with no rips or tears, new stamoid top, and the heavy duty eisenglas was also clear but could also use polishing.
- The port engine was in-frame overhauled in May of 2001 and the starboard engine received the same service in February of 2002. The engine overhauls were done with approximately 950 hours indicated. The meters are original and currently show less than 1150 hours. Extensive rewiring of the engine instrumentation includes all new Faria gauges at both the upper and lower helm stations. The port transmission was replaced in January of 2001 and the starboard was rebuilt in October 2005. Both engines had the exhaust risers replaced in September of 2005.
- The exterior condition of 'Intermission' is quite remarkable. The finish gleams, boot and accent stripes show as new, salon window coverings are in excellent condition, and all teakwork is finished to near yacht standards. Enjoying a Great Lakes heritage she was taken to the Tampa area from 2001 to 2007 during which time the vast majority of the refit was undertaken. She was brought back north by her current owner on her own bottom in August 2007 and has been berthed undercover since. She shows no ill effects from her trip south as the former owner employed a captain and crew and she was brought up to and kept in top cosmetic and operating condition while there. Her current owner has also followed a strict maintenance schedule and as a result she presents herself as a much newer vessel than her manufacture date would indicate.
