'Used,' but in all respects new! 'Cassiopeia' is one of the most outstanding updates of a classic yacht design I have ever seen, and after you have a look at these photos and specs, I think you will agree with me! For those who are unfamiliar with this design, The 'Baltic Trader' is a traditional coastal trading vessel that was used throughout the Baltic and the North Sea during the 19th, and early 20th century. Generally, these boats were family-run affairs, and always included spacious quarters aft for the family. They were (and are!) known for comfort, volume and seaworthiness.
This updated version takes these characteristics to a new level, not only by using a custom heavy-duty fiberglass hull, but using the entirety of the hull for luxurious and elegant accommodation, with joinery and style not seen on other 'fiberglass' yachts. Truly, 'Cassiopeia' gives every impression of being a wooden ship, but without the potential maintenance problems! The Masters cabin aft is a splendid affair, with traditional stern portlights illuminating a generous queen-sized berth that is intelligently built athwartships rather than fore and aft, which means comfort for both regardless of which tack the yacht happens to be on! There are dozens of other excellent features, and many more photographs available on request, so please have a look at the photos and the full specs, and keep reminding yourself 'this is a fiberglass boat!' |
