Aloha! We've owned Rendezvous for seven years. She's moored at the Ala Wai Marina in Honolulu. We've been transferred to another island and, to our sadness, had to leave her behind. For those who know the Cal sailboats, you know how unique they are. This particular model is a great live-aboard with a large entry hatchway and easy stairs to enter her galley. There is a very large stateroom at the lower level where we had, not only our home office but we had a recording studio with drums, guitars and keyboards!
There is a combination washer/dryer in the engine room. The galley has windows all around with beautiful views of Diamond Head and the Hawaiian Hilton Village next door. Ever wanted to live on a sailboat in Hawaii? This is your chance. Please contact us and we will direct you to an online video of her last dry dock so you can see the bottom, prop and condition of the hull. (youtube dot com forward slash watch?v=073UKCe8GOU) and we have a slide show with many more photos. Just contact us.
The top deck has been completely re-done using epoxy paint and is in excellent condition. The hull was completely overhauled with the West System and all blisters were removed. She is now blister free. The engine is in top shape and was flushed with fresh water regularly after every run. The rigging still has to be replaced but the sails are all in great shape. There are 7 sails, including two mains. Fuel tanks were replaced in 2005. There are two fresh water tanks. There are six new AGM deep cycle batteries with inverter and remote along with three, 75 watt solar panels and charger for the house system and 3- 29 group 12-volt batteries in the engine room.
There are two helms, one is top side, center cockpit and one is located down in the galley. There are two heads and large vanity area with a separate shower. One bathroom has a new head by the V-berth and the second head is off of the main stateroom with a portapotty. Tons of storage. Very large freezer. Two refrigerators. Large hatches.
