| Description |
It has a high freeboard of 5 feet, so on my way around the globe only 3 times really high waves came over deck. Even in rough seas you can walk save to the bow. With its double furling you can carry a working jib and a genoa without changing sail. Storm sail is attached to the baby stag. She has a big sundeck and lots of space on deck. I am also very happy with the closed pilothouse for cruising, with all the electronic the boat is very easy to handle, even alone. For diving, bathing and snorkeling, the platform at the stern, which you can lower down, is a great thing. The interior is built from solid Mahogany and teak, which makes it very comfortable to live in. You feel very much like being home. She also has a big engine room which makes it easy to service the engine, the Fischer panda generator 12 kW, the water maker technicomar (150 L per hour) and the Bauer Mariner 2 diving compressor.
Owners Comments: This boat is absolutely seaworthy. I have sailed it for 6 years around the globe. The only reason I am going to sell this reliable wonderful boat, that carried me around the world without problems, is my loving new wife. She becomes seasick very easily, and its a torture for her cruising long distances, so one of the two ladies must go. And after 25 years of sailing its maybe time to settle down. The boat would be ready for another circumnavigation, maybe with a new owner.
Accommodations: crew front cabin with bathroom, 2 guest cabins with bathrooms, big saloon with standing height, big owner cabin with luxury bathroom.
Sails/Rigging: New jib, main mizzen in 2007 from rolly tasker in phuket, rigging with new Northman terminals, new masts in 2006, all lines running in the masts.
Galley Equipment: fridge/freezer, 3 flame gas stove with oven
Electronics & Navigation Gear: Simrad Robertson
Electrical System: 12v, 24v, 220v
Additional Equipment, Trailer, etc: 9 dive tanks, 6 complete scuba pro diving gear, 400 watt solar panels with big Trojan battery bank, satellite phone, internet on board ,big water maker 150 L.
