Here at Topsail Yachts, not all of our listings are large and expensive, and we try hard to reserve a special place for special yachts, and this falls well into that category! 'Integrity' is a delightful little gaff-rigged schooner of traditional style, but certainly not built by traditional methods! Manufactured over a period of two years by Colvin in the early '70's, the hull, deck, and coachroof of this yacht is molded of fiberglass as a SINGLE piece! Once the hull had set up, the companionway hatch was sawn out, and the interior mold removed. What does this mean? It means you will NEVER have leaks through the decks, or deck/hull joins (there aren't any!). The rig is also unusual, in that the spars are made of very heavy guage aluminum. So heavy in fact, that hollow wood spars would weigh the same, but of course, will never last as long or be as strong! All that being said, this yacht has been out of the water for the last seven years, and time has taken its toll. The interior will need to be largely redone and modernized, as will electronics, the galley etc. But that's why the yacht is priced the way it is , which allows YOU the opportunity to own a schooner at a knock-down cost of what this boat would have been worth when new. What is needed is a really good cleaning, the replacement of a few interior panels (dry rot), upgrade the electronics and perhaps the plumbing, and a coat of paint. you will aslo want to go over all of the running rigging and associated blocks, and lube the engine (the engine is a virtually bomb-proof Norwegian Sabb one-lunger).
