Best Memories:
Sailing at over 14 knots continuously for more than 4 hours up and across Boundary Passage. Phoning into U.S. Customs, who had us on their radar and could not believe we were a sailboat.
Sitting at the helm and hearing the stereo sound of the water coming off the sugar scoops when the boat accelerates in the puffs. The boat is very intimate with the water and has a great feel in all seas.
Coming into Tanacatita in the Mexican Pacific Riviera to find more than 100 boats at anchor, and being waved into the very front of the bay as our shallow draft permitted us to go to the very best spot.
Departing Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador on the day we wanted, as our shallow draft did not require waiting for a high tide to get over the bar. Sailing the 650 miles to Panama in exactly 100 hours.
Sailing from Seattle to San Francisco in 20 foot seas and 30-35 knots wind and never burying bows or having water over the second step in back and always feeling confident in our boat. Sitting in the cockpit and watching the following wave through the stern arch.
Laying in the trampoline with 4 friends to watch the Pleides meteor shower in Toba Inlet, British Columbia.
