UPGRADES:
OSMOSIS JOB (completed in 2005). We installed twelve new ports and three hatches in 2002. They are all Lewmar Aluminum. There are also eight other ports which were replaced in 1998. All Ports open.
Vessel is a 45.6 Heritage West Indies vessel, designed by Charlie Morgan. She was manufactured in 1978 in Clearwater, Florida. She is clean, roomy, and cheerful inside.
Designed for blue water cruising. Cutter rigged, insures easy handling by a couple. At 46 feet and 15.5 beam, she has room for a full set of spares, charts and 6 months of provisions. Two staterooms with two heads, insuring privacy for 2 couples.
There is a spacious V-berth with ample storage and a separate gear locker. The salon area is light and airy and has new cushions. The galley is really easy to work in and is a U-shaped configuration with deep double stainless steel sinks and a Force 10 cooking stove. Owners rebuilt and insulated the ice box area and installed a new Adler-Barber Super-Cold machine in 1999. It also has a 110-12 volt refrigerator.
The captain's cabin is very roomy and elicits comments like "It's as big as our bedroom at home!" It has a queen size bed with lots of storage underneath and hanging lockers. It has a separate head, sink and it's own full-sized shower.
Designed for cruising all systems are oversized with each system having a backup. Because a great deal of time is spent at anchor and the ability to haul significant stores is important, the beam is 15.5 feet which allows the vessel to carry a full set of spares for the boat's systems and provisions for six months.
A cutter rigged vessel, she is also powered by a 85 hp Perkins 4-236 Engine. She has all new lighting and 19 opening ports. Four dorades and three large hatches to provide good air flow.
OWNER COMMENTS:
We looked at tons of boats before we bought this vessel and I knew when I first went on board that this one was special. It is very light and airy, has 19 opening ports, a very large, comfortable aft master's cabin suite with full sized shower and head. There is another head forward for guests. We have traveled half way around the world and felt comfortable and safe with this vessel. The center cockpit has never had water in it and is very large and while on watch you can stretch out and sleep comfortably. It has a new sail cover and dodger.
