Accommodations
The interior layout in the N 35 Classic employs a pair of structural
bulkheads at the widest point of the hull, providing incredible form
stability and stiffness to the hull of particular interest to passage-makers
and big (blue) water sailors.
Within these two bulkheads are located the galley to port and the head to
starboard. Insofar as these high utilization areas of the interior are
located at the widest point of the interior plan, they are comfortable to use
and access, and are generously sized.
Fwd of these is the main salon which, while shorter in line of sight than
most 35 footers, provides a cozy retreat; convenient, closely spaced
handholds are numerous as a result of the compact layout for moving about
underway.
Fwd again of the main salon there is an innovative large forepeak providing
ample storage, always a consideration on smaller cruising vessels, and a very
useful workbench/office table.
Aft of the head and galley there are two berths, the larger of the two not
quite a double on port side, and a generous single to stb.which has at its
fwd end a very good sized proper navigation area with chart table.
Realistically two couples can be comfortable in visually and acoustically
separated area of the vessel separated by the head and galley amidships which
are accessible privately from each sleeping area. Convertible berth to stb
main salon makes double berth; single settee opposite.
A small family of four or if younger, five, would be nicely accommodated.
Good ventilation, a serious consideration in Caribbean waters, is provided by
10 opening ports: six conventionally sized and four oversized; 4 skylight
hatches; all are custom screened.
