'KISMET' is a fine example of an Irwin 38 that is just coming on to our listings. For those of you not familiar with the Irwins, they were originally designed for the Florida/Bahamas charter trade, where their shallow draft and extremely comfortable interior layout made them very highly sought after. With berthing for six, 4.5' draft, fully enclosed high center cockpit, and incredible engine access, the Irwins have lately become extremely popular liveaboards, and as no other builder has since come up with a comparably intelligent use of space, the Irwin 38s have recently become one of the few modern boats on the market that are actually INCREASING in value! 'Kismet' has been well cared for, and has a number of upgrades, such as a new full enclosure, new 130% genoa (all new late 2004), new fridge, new battery pack (4 6V golfcart batteries, plus 2 12V cranking batteries), etc, etc. Please have a look at the photos and full specifications and see for yourself just how comfortable a sailboat can be!
