1984 38 Feet Irwin Center Cockpit

Definitely one of the nicest Irwin 38's I have seen on the market, 'Honey Bee' has been lovingly maintained by her owners, and this care and attention shows in every view! For those of you not familiar with the Irwin 38 design, it is an aft cabin, center cockpit sloop/cutter with great care and attention paid to 'liveability.' Very popular with the cruising and live-aboard crowd, the Irwin 38 is known for attractive appointments, excellent sailing characteristics, ease of handling, and a measure of living comfort usually found only in much larger and much more expensive craft. 'Honey Bee' is not a new boat, but it has been so well maintained, significantly upgraded, and generally well taken care of (and if you have viewed a number of used boats already, I think you know what a rare thing a truly 'shipshape' used boat is!), that she compares extremely well with boats of significantly newer vintage! New sails in 1996, new Adler Barbour refridgeration in 1999, new water heater in 2002, new bilge pump in 2002, new 9' Zodiac inflatable dinghy and Honda 2HP 4 stroke OB in 2002, and the list goes on and on. The navigational instruments and extras alone make 'Honey Bee' a true honey of a boat, and would add thousands to the price of a new boat! Add that to the fact that this boat is in the water now, with a slip in a very desirable marina on the Sakonnet River in Rhode Island and everything just makes sense.
