| ACCOMODATIONS: Interior panelling done entirely of quarter-sawn period English oak (almost unavailable these days!), with added structural bulkheads of marine ply sandwiched and vacuum-bagged with highest quality teak T&G. From front to back: Spacious anchor locker with access to forward berthing area. The forward cabin consists of two large V-berths, with plenty of storage below and above the berths to either side (note: this area originally had pipecots for the professional crew/Captain). Above the berths is a teak deck hatch with hinged sideflaps for additional ventilation. Moving aft of the forward cabin, finds the full-width head, with a custom green marble sink/vanity to port, and the fully restored original 'Baby Blake' toilet to starboard, plus a butterfly hatch above the centerline. Continuing aft is the saloon, with a straight settee to starboard, an 'L' shaped settee to port on either side of an elegant drop-leaf table. Both settee backs raise to form additional berths (two up, two down) for a total of four berths in the saloon. On the forward structural bulkhead to port is a solid fuel stove with white and blue Delft protective tiling, and to either side are period leaded-glass cabinets. Above the settees are bookshelves, and beneath the settees are the water tanks. The saloon deckhead features a large butterfly hatch, and there are deckhead prisms located throughout the vessel for ample ambient daylight. Aft of the saloon is the galley area, with the stove and fridge/freezer to port, double stainless steel sink to starboard with storage cabinets above. A half-spiral companionway leads up to the doghouse, and directly to starboard is the passageway into the aft cabin. In the aft cabin, there is a small double berth to starboard, and a large single berth to port, with a vanity and mirror that doubles as a chart table mounted on the aft bulkhead between the two berths and above the forward access to the engine compartment. Hanging lockers are located above and aft of each of the berths, and there is a chart storage box located above the starboard berth.

RECENT HISTORY: 'Shiris' has been maintained by the current owner in Dion's Boatyard in Salem, Massachusetts since 1979. When first purchased, the current owner stripped out the entire interior, cleaned and repaired all fastenings and woodwork, replaced the floors with new bronze, treated the entire inside of the hull below waterline with red lead, installed new structural bulkheads (stiffened the entire hull enormously), and then returned all the original interior with very minor modifications to accommodate the new bulkheads, etc. Since that time, continual inspections, maintenance and upgrades have kept 'Shiris' in the peak of condition, ensuring that any new owner will be buying a vessel free of problems and ready for decades of future sailing adventures. I have personally inspected the vessel, took all of the interior and non-sailing exterior photographs on 12/16/06, and found the yacht to be in excellent Winter storage condition.
