| 'Lady Ellen' is not only a charter sailing vessel, but is in many ways also a hotel and 5 star restaurant! With eight cabins for 27 overnight guests (six with en suite bathrooms with showers), 'Lady Ellen can also accommodate up to 90 day passengers. The whole of the interior is panelled in teak, and each cabin is designed with unique decor. The Chef's cabin was built in 200, and includes a teak cabin sole, one double and one single berth (both made of cherrywood), an opening portlight, en suite tiled head with shower and airconditiong. The 'Red Cabin' and 'Yellow Cabins' were also built in 2000, and are similar to the Chef's Cabin. The 'Beige Cabin' has two single 'over and under' berths, but is otherwise similar. Built in 1991, the 'Green Cabin' is larger, with one double berth, plus a sofa that can also be used as a single bed, en suite head and shower, etc. The 'Blue Cabin' was also built in 1991 and has a double berth and is entirely panelled and decorated in mahogany, also with en suite head and shower. 'The Mess' was built of mahogany in 1997, and consists of 4 single bunk beds that can be converted to a couple sofas (pullman-style), plus a head and separate shower room. ' The Skans' is one of the original cabins. Built of mahogany, 'The Skans' has six single berths, a head and separate shower room. 'The Captains Cabin' was built in 2002, and has a double and a single bed, a sofa, table, and en suite head and shower. The crew's cabin was built in 2002 and is located up in the fo'c'sle, with two double beds, two single beds, a sofa and table an ensuite head and shower, plus lots of storage cuboards for all their gear.
The Saloon: There is a large multi-purpose saloon that can function as a dining area for up to 45 guests, or as a conference room for up to 27 attendees. As a conference room, the saloon is equipped a computer-capable projector, two wide screens, CD and DVD players, video and even a karaoke machine!
The Deckhouse Bar: On deck is a deckhouse lounge, with a fully-equipped rounded mahogany bar, with an ice machine, stereo CD player and radio, integrated Ipod and all capable of being piped into each, or all of the passnger cabins as well as the lounge bar itself. The lounge bar also has its own fully-tiled head for the use of the guests. Connected to the bar is a storage room where 11 x 30 liter kegs can be stored, as well as up to 1000 other beverages in cans or bottles! |

| All wiring completely replaced from 1996 to 2002. Iveco 45 KW generator with 4250 hours (2001), Iveco 45 KW generators, each with 4400 hours (2001), Iveco 26KW generator with 8500 hours (2001). 400 Volt/240 Volt AC electrical system, as well as 24 and 12 Volt DC. 400 and 3 X 240 Volt shore power (onboard generator turns on automatically if the shore power is cut). Airconditioning in all cabins (2000), Cylinda washing machine (2003), Cylinda tumble dryer (2006). |

| Teak deck over steel subdeck. The teak deck was removed for inspection of the subdeck in 1998, and subsequently replaced. Hull in 11mm steel covered in bronze. All deckhouses in steel with teak covering boards, 6 X removable mahogany deck benches with storage beneath, 2 X teak deck benches, also with storage beneath. Winter cover, sun/rain canopy for foredeck, sun/rain canopy for quarterdeck. Dinghy davits on taffrail for tender.
RIG: 13 sails (1365 sqm sail area), all from 2004/2005 by Henrik Ottosons Sails, including spanker, mainsail, foresail, mizzen topsail, main topsail, fore staysail, jib, flying jib, royal jib, jib of jibs, fore course, topsail, and topgallant. All masts in Oregon Pine, all have been out, inspected and serviced 2000 to 2005. All standing rigging was replaced in 1995. Booms, gaffs, fore, mizzen and main top yards in workshop every third year for maintenance/refinishing (one topmast every year in rotation). Rig is inspected and approved by the Swedish Maritime Administration.
ANCHORING: LIDANS 1980 anchor windlass (overhauled 2005), with new 5KW electric davit hoist motor. 2 X Large traditional anchors in iron. |

| OTHER MACHINERY: Hundested STF 250 HP bowthruster, 35KW hot water heater (1995)All toilets, showers and plumbing replaced in 1996 to 2001 (ordinary 'at home toilets').
SAFETY: McMurdo EPIRB, valid unti 2011, 5 X SOLAS-approved VIKING 5 X 25 PAX liferafts, adult life jackets X 1222, childrens lifejackets X 10, 5 X 6-hour survival suits, 28 X 1 hour survival suits, complete intercom system, battery back-up system for navigation, safety equipment and lights, distress signals (flares, etc.), ships pahrmacy, first aid kits, life-buoys, all according to Swedish Maritime Administration specs.
FIRE: Ultra-Fog water/fog sprinkler system, fire alarm system, fire pump (21 cubic meter per hour), all hand-held fire exinguishers, 2 x complete fire-fighting equipment sets, 12 cubic meter per hour bilge pump.
HISTORY: The original owners and builders of this vessel were the biggest ship owners in Sweden at the time (1983). The present owner owns one of Swedens largest ship-repair companies, with a particular specialisation in engines. Having purchased 'Lady Ellen' in 1993, and together with his architect wife and four children, he has poured effort, time and money into 'Lady Ellen' to ensure that she remains the Queen of the Scandinavian charter fleet. |
