Classic looking, Very strong
48ft steel ketch with teak deks, central cockpit and dog house.
Long keel 6.5tons lead.
The boat was built by Perfect Steel in Johannesburg.
Owner comments:
The boat was made for ocean sailing. There were 28 built in South Africa and 26 are in France. She has sailed across the Atlantic. It was reported that there were 8M swells. I bought her to sail up and down South America and the Caribbean.
Selling because of family obligations.
The engine is a Ford Lehman: Hours are unavailable. I had the injector pump overhauled about a year ago and fitted with new injectors. They were not faulty. I just wanted to play it safe with the crossing. The engine is in a very good condition and never had an oil or start problem. I used only about 60 liters diesel from Africa to Brazil (did not motor a lot).
