This sturdy steel sailing yacht Noordkaper 40 was built in 1988/1989. The Hull and superstructure are built by De Groot in Amsterdam. The interior is built by Balkema in Workum. This ship has an electrical lifting centreboard. The ship is ketch rigged with cutter jib, Furlex furling system, mainsail 28,5 m2, Mizzen 16,5 m2, yankee 27 m2, jib 18 m2, genoa 52 m2.
