The 44' custom cruising yacht Perelandra, which was sailed around the world by LeCain Smith and Sheila Moir, authors of the book Steel Away is now available after over 60,000 miles of successful voyaging. This John Simpson-designed, round steel-hulled sailing ketch was launched in 1989 and has been well maintained over the years. She is fully equipped and ready and willing to sail on any ocean. Regretfully her owners can no longer take her where she is destined to go. She is a very balanced vessel that performs well in all sea conditions. This center cockpit cruiser is well equipped with all the basics plus an assortment of extra gear. Recent improvements include new full batten mainsail, new roller furling genoa, SS rigging wire, a hard dodger with solar panel, and engine upgrades. She also has both wind and solar power, Aries wind vane self steering, and a rigid inflatable dingy with motor.
