The 2680 Coastal Runner, having proven itself on the 1330 mile run to
Midway Island, was also our choice for the 2660 miles covered from
Seattle to Alaska's Glacier Bay and across the Gulf of Alaska to the
Kenai Peninsula.
The cockpit is large and free of obstructions. There's a 32-gallon
livewell, built-in tackle box, rod holders in the gunwale, fresh water
spigot and sink built into the transom, as well as 2 large in-deck fish
boxes. The easy-to-enter cabin has plenty of headroom and features a
queen-size berth. The 12-volt marine head with 15-gallon holding tank is
standard. Best of all is the ride. Whether it be windblown straits or
the open water, the Glacier Bay displacement hull handles the conditions
with ease and grace.
Rated for twin 150 hp engines, you'll see top speeds of 36-40 mph, and a
range of approximately 275 miles, depending on load and options.
The 2640 Renegade takes a fresh perspective, combining Glacier Bay's
muscular ocean-crossing blue water hull with a friendly, people-oriented
deck layout. The design has many advantages over others in its class.
With its tempered glass windshield and mid ship settee, you have a
central conversation area that's out of the wind. The forward deck
doubles as a huge sun lounge or casting platform with full size fish
boxes. The aft deck is huge, at 5 ft. x 7 1/2 ft. This boat is designed
for a multitude of relaxing family adventures.
The Renegade is packed with convenience and practical use features. All
upholstery is easily removable for safe storage. A bimini top with front
and side curtains is standard for sun and weather protection. The wet
bar/tackle center comes with shower nozzle, shelf and a large dry
storage area. Twenty-two gallons of fresh water is standard. The head
compartment is spacious and has a 12-volt marine head and 15-gallon
holding tank with macerator pump standard. Under the helm seat, the
Renegade has an over-sized fish well/storage well 24'' x 24" x 6 ft. All
the fish wells are insulated and include gutters with gaskets. The aft
deck is crowned with gutters along the sides, four 1 1/2'' deck scuppers
are standard for easy clean up. All decks are self-bailing. Combining
all this with Glacier Bay's legendary quality and strength of
construction, Renegade owners will have a boat to be proud of well into
the future.
Rated for twin 150 hp engines, you can expect a top speed around 44 mph
and a range of up to 275 miles, depending on load and options.
Winning Boating Magazine's 728 mile non-stop "Bermuda Challenge," with
only twin 90 hp engines, as well as its notoriety as the companion boat
on a 1330 mile run from Hawaii to Midway Island, makes this center
console an offshore fisher's dream. The 260 Canyon Runner is far and
away the smoothest, fastest, most comfortable way to get to where the
sport fish are. In a short couple of hours, the Canyon Runner will fly
you out 80 miles, even in rough rolling seas.
The secret behind the Canyon Runner's wave slicing ride is a hull that
defines the leading edge in catamaran design. Unique pads on the bottom
of each hull ensure arrow-straight tracking whatever the sea conditions.
Lifting chines flare to the front for superior
roll stability and spray deflection.
The 260 Canyon Runner is loaded with features and has a working deck
nearly 8 feet square, which will give you plenty of room to work those
trophy fish with ease and comfort. You'll have ample time to fish all
day and return home gently with your catch.
Rated for twin 150 hp engines with top speeds around 46 mph and 300
miles of exceptional boating pleasure.
