"ELIZABETH" is a 1973 Hinckley 49 foot center cockpit ketch. She is 49' on deck, 54' overall; she is all solid fiberglass construction, built in 1973 by one of the finest yacht builders in the world, Henry R. Hinckley & Co., and she can cruise worldwide. She has every amenity for cruising or living aboard, including a fireplace in the salon. She has two staterooms, two heads, walk-in shower, walk-in engine room, a full galley, two air-conditioning systems, 9 cu foot freezer/fridge, ice-maker, stove/oven, two cockpits, dingy with outboard and an extended sail inventory. She has been retro-fitted with an LP gas system for cooking."ELIZABETH" has a large inventory of equipment and spares and a large library of original onboard manuals, records, and drawings.
"ELIZABETH" can be sailed anywhere in the world, and comfortably lived on like a waterfront home. She has wonderful sailing and sea-keeping qualities; which have been proven in a passage from Maine to the Virgin Islands and back.
Although "ELIZABETH" is a sailing yacht, in 2009 she was fitted with a virtually new 120 hp six-cylinder Ford/Lehman Diesel which will give her auxiliary cruising speeds in excess of 8 knots. She also has tankage for extended cruising. At economy cruise, she can carry enough fuel to travel easily over 1,700 nautical miles under power alone. Yacht is located in East Boothbay, Maine.
