Amazingly Spacious Cabin / Simple to Operate!

If you are not familiar with Hinterhoeller's Nonsuch design, the essence is to promote the ease of sailing. It accomplishes this with a Cat Rig, coupled with a wishbone boom. This setup is conducive of single handed sailing, with ease!

As an added bonus to this configuration, a spacious cabin is a nice side effect (of the forward mast). I would argue the feel of this Nonsuch 33's cabin would rival that of any 38ft sailing vessel.

When boarding the Nonsuch, you will immediately notice the forward positioned mast and unique wishbone boom. The helm is aft and covered by a bimini. It is surrounded by a U-shaped bench seating arrangement.

Below deck, a full galley is to port and a Nav. station is directly opposite. Aft of the Nav station is a sizable quarter berth. Moving towards the bow, a convertible dinette is port. The table can be lowered to accommodate a filler cushion to create another double berth. Opposite the dinette, is another seating area that can also convert to a single berth. Ample storage compartments line both sides of the salon.

Just before entering the forward berth, a salon access door to the head and shower is starboard. This is also a unique setup, as a second access door is also located in the forward cabin. The shower and head areas can be divided by a curtain.

The forward berth boasts another sizable berth. A hanging locker and additional storage is available. Access to the forward mast is also in this cabin.

This particular Nonsuch is powered by a 30 hp, Universal diesel engine. The construction is a fiberglass hull with a balsa core. It is a fin keel with a semi-balanced, spade rudder.

ConditionThe overall condition of the boat is fair. The rigging, sail and interior condition seem to be in good order. The exterior cosmetics and bottom paint are what the next owner will likely desire to tackle. The bottom is due, painting the hull (above the waterline) and deck are more of a personal preference. However, addressing them will certainly bolster the visual appear.

There is a section of the hull (port side, bow) that was repaired. You will notice some discoloration where the work occurred. This was a fiberglass scratch from docking the boat. The mark was superficial and did not reach the core.

The stereo system was removed when the current owner purchased the vessel. However the speakers and wiring are still in place. The speaker covers will need to be replaced, as weather wear has deteriorated them. Aside from the items listed, the owner believes all other systems to be fully operational.

Reasonable offers will be entertained.
