Cruising World Magazine’s 1997 “BOAT OF THE YEAR”-

Best Mid-Sized Cruising Yacht

A rare opportunity to own a great cruising yacht with lots of recent upgrades and also an winning ISAF Category 2 Ocean Racing Compliant yacht. She has proven her self with over 25,000 miles of blue water crossings. Her most recent race this year went from St Petersburg to Mexico (one of 8 races to Mexico), then on to Havana, and back to St Petersburg. She has many thousands of $ of new spares. She has a very knowledgeable owner who just recently purchased a New Catalina 425.

When one of the biggest production sailboat builders in the world corrals top honors in a no-holds-barred fleet of extremely able contenders -- including some candidates that fetch tens of thousands of dollars more than the winning yacht -- it’s time to take serious notice. So gather around for a look at the breakthrough 1997 Midsize Cruiser Of The Year -- the Catalina 380.
