2003 Amel Super Maramu 2000 Red Line
“Festina Lente” is a Super Maramu 2000 Red Line built by the French shipyard AMEL, launched in July 2003, she is hull number 413 and belongs to the latest series of this prestigious fleet of blue water cruisers. She is designed to be sailed short handed in the utmost comfort, safety and as demonstrated by the current owner is perfect for the job.
She was purchased in 2012 by the current owners, and is equipped with the latest electronics for both navigation and safety. These include 2x autopilots, 2x radars, 2x chart plotters, fixed satellite phone etc. She also has an inner forestay fitted with electric furling system, a real bonus for long passages
Having refitted the boat to their specifications, the current owners left La Spezia in Italy on August 2013. They participated to the ARC 2013 and the World Arc 2014/15 are then returned to their home port in July 2015, having successfully circumnavigated the globe with just the two of them onboard.
Since returning “Festina Lente” has had everything serviced, checked and replaced where necessary and is ready for her next blue water adventure.
