Description and Optional Equipment:
With the signature B & R rig for ease of sailing and a new slippery hull from Glenn Henderson, Hunter's head designer, the 41 incorporates many of the hull design innovations from Hunter's larger boats in a more compact size. A Bow Hollow and Stern Reflex are performance enhancers taken from the latest racing craft and adapted to give a larger cruiser a lift in speed. The deck layout is arranged to maximize space and comfort and allow for short-handed sailing. A new Whitlock pedestal provides more space for electronics and more room to move around the cockpit. A massive sail locker can house the propane tanks with room to spare.
The cockpit of the Hunter 410 is very comfortable with deep seats, high seat backs, good storage in the seat lockers and additional storage in lockers on the sugar-scoop transom swim platform. The mainsheet and traveler is attached to the arch over the cockpit and there is no backstay with this rig so these normal cockpit obstructions are removed. There are 24-inch-high double lifelines and stainless steel stanchions along the side decks, a welded stainless steel bow rail and an anchor locker and windless on the foredeck.
There are no fewer than 11 opening ports and deck hatches which provide excellent cabin ventilation and there are six large fixed port lights allowing light below.
All the ports and windows make for cheery, bright interiors on both arrangement plans of the Hunter 410. The main saloon features a starboard galley.
Accommodations are spacious and luxurious. The master cabin is aft with a real queen size inner spring mattress and plenty of storage, while the guest suite with a double inner spring mattress is forward and includes a private head, shower and vanity. The aft head doubles as day head and offers a separate stall shower. A u-shaped convertible dinette and opposing sofa will comfortably seat 8 and the large navigation station will hold all the current electronics. A flat-panel television and Bose stereo will enhance the experience aboard.
The Corian covered galley is well thought out and includes separate stainless steel refrigerator and freezer, double stainless sink and a dual LPG range with oven. A lighted dishware compartment complete with the dishes is standard as is the microwave.
