Not many boats sailing have earned the title offshore cruiser of the decade and earned that title the pure and honest way, of actually doing it, successfully each and every time. If you are in search of a true Blue Water Sailboat with proven performance, safety, and excellent  reputation to follow your dreams of worldwide cruising then the Valiant 40’ Cutter Rig will definitely meet your criteria. ‘Lantana” is hull number 292 and one of the last Valiant 40s built. Designed in 1973 by Bob Perry, the Valiant offered something most cruising boats did not have at this time and that was the ability to sail fast. The skeg-hung rudder and modified fin keel give the double-ended hull an excellent level of quickness and maneuverability. Her custom interior is comfortable and beautifully finished in teak veneer with a solid teak and holly cabin sole, this combined with an excellent build and strong hull made the Valiant 40 a top choice among cruisers. She has sailed from Maine to as far south as Venezuela and Trinidad, west to Curacao, north to the Virgin Islands and crossed the Gulf of Mexico four times. The boat sails fantastic, it is very, very well built, and it is safe and comfortable for a couple to sail in all conditions. She has much to offer her new owners and is turnkey ready to continue her extended worldwide voyages.
