Stamas Yacht is the oldest family-owned boat company in the country for a reason---they build serious boats for those who do their boating in the sea.

They pride themselves on seaworthiness and maintaining their reputation--just ask a Stamas owner.

Among other things, they pioneered the use of fiberglass in hulls and liners, utilized self-bailing cockpits and foam for flotation.

Are you tall or are your guests over 6 feet? There is excellent interior headroom on these Stamas.

The boat really seems made for making EVERYONE comfortable, you don't have to be a stick figure to feel at ease in this boat---cabin fever can often found in boats under 40', but not here.

She has a functional mid-cabin layout with a double berth to the rear-- this is a recessed area at the rear of the cabin that will sleep two, an enclosed stand-up head and shower, and a drop down dinette table forward that can double as berths for two.

The well-planned galley is typical of the good thinking involved in laying this boat out.

The outsized cockpit accommodates up to six in comfort and offers a molded dive/swim platform with ladder accessed through a transom door.

There is a bank of 3 tackle drawers below an in cockpit sink with sprayer. There also is a hose and sprayer tucked into the aft port corner of the cockpit.

This boat has been laid up for 6 years--the owners have been too busy to take her out.

There was a survey done prior to the current owners purchasing the boat and it was a good report.

And just before the current owners purchased her in 2005 she had both long blocks replaced as well as the engine cooling system. One of the engines was replaced a few years ago.

The transmissions are Borg Warner Velvet Drives.

Her hull has twin recessed tunnels for the shafts, propellers, and rudders. This offers excellent protection in shallow areas or where shifting sandbars are an issue.
She also is equipped with Bennett trim tabs.

The hull itself shows no evidence of anything but successful navigating!

ConditionOverall the condition of the boat appears to be good! It is still winter in New England and the boat is fully wrapped so it is hard to get a comprehensive look at her. She will be cleaned up and uncovered next month [ April ] so I will report back then.
