2004 Glacier Bay 2680 Coastal Runner
** SOLD **
Tired of getting wet and pounded? This Glacier Bay has a hard glass enclosure with hard top to keep you out of the spray and the most sea kindly cat hull available. The soft ride and enclosed bridge deck make it a pleasure to run offshore and she will leave a mono hull of much greater size in her wake. Easy on fuel, OLD SALT gets about 2.2 miles per gallon at cruise. Rough weather, bring it on; we’re going cruising, fishing or to the Islands. Her semi displacement hulls give her a smoother ride than planning hull deep V’s or cats.

Vessel WalkthroughWhen compared to a mono hull, it is hard to believe this boat is only 26’. She has an enclosed bridge deck/pilot house that is dry under all weather conditions and a spacious cabin with a full Queen sized bunk. The full beam forward cabin also has lots of storage and an electric marine head with holding tank and discharge. There are rod racks the cabin, two opening ports and two opening overhead hatches. There is cabin and bridge deck 12 volt lighting. The cabin is air conditioned and heated by a Cruise Air system with SMX control.
Bridge DeckThe pilot house/bridge deck can be fully enclosed with the canvas backdrop. During warmer weather, the pilot house remains dry inside and has ample ventilation. Opening side windows and three overhead hatches provide great ventilation to cool the bridge. Visibility is superb since you look through hard glass, just like your car, as opposed to soft enclosure “glass” that distorts vision and blurs everything with spray. She has a windshield wiper on the helm side. The glass windows and hard top set her apart and above the rest of the fleet.
OLD SALT has a custom layout on the bridge deck that features a helm chair and companion chair. Later offered as an option, the companion chair can be positioned traditionally with forward view or turned 180 degrees to watch the baits comfortably from the lounge. Both seats have a lounge seats aft. Under the port lounge is a locker that accepts a portable 12 volt freezer that is great for cruising and Bahama trips. Under the starboard lounge a 32 gallon live well to keep baits kicking all day.
DeckMoving forward from the cockpit to the foredeck couldn’t be easier thanks to the innovative design that provides an extra wide side deck to starboard. Side rails and bow rails add to the ease and security on deck. All the way forward is an anchor pulpit with a Fortress anchor, chain and rode. The electric anchor windlass makes deploying the anchor a cinch and the anchor locker has plenty of room for a spare anchor and rode.
The cockpit aft of the bridge deck is very roomy and has two in deck 5.5’ fish boxes. An Igloo cooler center aft doubles as a seat and is removable for easy access to the extended swim platform with ladder for swimming or diving. There is under gunnel rack storage port and starboard. 6 flush mounted rod holders are gunnel mounted and 10 additional rod holders are mounted on the top and top legs.
Mounted on the top and deployed from the bridge deck are Rupp Top GunZ-30 out riggers and there is a Taco center rigger as well. Tackle lockers and battery access is aft in the cockpit. There is a fresh water sink aft and a salt water wash down.
