A comfortable and safe vessel, the Whitby 42 Ketch is the ultimate sailing machine.

Designed by Ted Brewer and built Fort Meyers,Florida. The interior features teak cabinets and trim, teak and holly flooring and beautiful custom fabrics. The unique design features a large work area with cabinet and drawer storage in the companionway between the salon and master stateroom. The master is private and can be accessed direct from the cockpit.

Needing a little TLC this is the one to see!  Motivated seller.


You enter the wide side decks through either the port or starboard boarding gates.  Maneuverability fore and aft is easy with teak handrails and wide decks.  There is a stainless steel folding swim ladder mounted on the stern.  The cockpit is huge and will seat a crowd.  With excellent visibility the helm is a wonderful place to gather for that evening glass of wine.  From the cockpit you can enter the master cabin or the main salon through teak hatches.  From the forward companionway and down a teak ladder you enter the main salon.  Immediately to port is the “U” shaped galley with ample counter top space for food preparation, multiple drawer and cabinet storage and a double stainless steel sink.  Across from the galley is the navigation station with a desk that opens for storage.  Outboard storage cabinets and storage under the seat allow charts and charting equipment to be easily stored.  Along the starboard side and aft od the navigation station is a long companionway.  Inboard is access to the engine compartment with easy maneuverability in the compartment for engine maintenance.  Outboard is a large work bench with storage under the top and cabinet and drawer storage.  The electrical panel is located in the companionway.  All the way aft is the master cabin entry with a privacy door.  The master features a large queen berth and plenty of storage with hanging lockers, cabinets, and drawers.  There is access forward to the cockpit.  The ensuite head features a shower, mirrored bulkhead and manual toilet.  Back to the entry companionway and forward is the salon area.  Large and open the salon features a long settee to starboard and an “L” shaped settee to port.  Both have storage behind and under the cushions.  Outboard on the port and starboard sides are storage cabinets and book cases.  A centered folding table is connected to the teak mast cover.  Forward and to starboard is a storage locker while to port is access to the day head shared with the guest stateroom.  The guest head is large.   All the way forward is the guest stateroom with a V-berth and filler cushion.  Outboard storage cabinets and an aft locker and storage shelving.

The teak interior is beautiful and shows no evidence of water damage and coupled with the teak and holly flooring and beautiful custom upholstery, the interior feels like a much larger vessel.


Located to port and aft in the salon, the galley offers excellent food preparation and storage spaces that will please even the most discriminating chef.  The addition of a second refrigerator system makes keeping food cool and fresh easy.
