With her raised pilothouse and sturdy profile, the Hatteras 48 LRC has a no-nonsense appearance of a bluewater cruiser.  It’s the raised pilothouse that sets her apart from most of the competition; from here, she can be operated in complete privacy from the rest of the boat.  Deck doors provide quick access onto the side decks and a settee/watch berth is fitted right behind the helm.  The 48 LRC is a heavily built on a solid fiberglass, full displacement hull with rounded bilges and a long, deep keel.  Freeboard at the bow is quite high.  The master offers a queen sized berth while the forward stateroom offers a v-berth.  On the main deck, the galley is forward in the salon, the pilot house has a large “U” shaped dinette and the watch berth.  Additional features include the wheelhouse deck doors, radar mast, molded foredeck seating, an aft cockpit with lathe transom door, and a bow pulpit.  The 48 LRC is a wonderful live aboard or fully capable cruising vessel.

She is a well cared for 48 LRC that has stabilizers and a bow thruster.

Recently sold, her new owners already want a larger vessel.  She surveyed extremely well with minimal findings.   Great deal-Better boat!

She is an exceptional Hatteras 48 LRC that offers the traditional “Tiger” teak Hatteras is famous for, excellent matching soft goods, amazing teak cabinetry and trim, wonderful teak doors, beautiful matching carpets and teak and holly flooring.

Getting onboard is easy.  The boarding steps are portable and can be attached to either the port or starboard side accessing onto the side decks at the entry to the pilothouse.  Additionally, the swim platform and the large transom door allow access directly onto the cockpit and into the main salon.

From the cockpit you enter the main salon.  Immediately to starboard is the entertainment center with a flat screen TV.  The starboard side has a nice sized settee with storage under the cushions.  All the way forward is a bar area and the steps into the pilot house.  Along the port side is an “L” shaped settee with storage under the cushions and a drop leaf coffee table. The “U” shaped galley is forward and offers a complete array of appliances and spaces to please even the most discriminating chef.  Access into the engine room is though the salon sole with a nice stainless steel and teak tread ladder into the engine spaces.

From the salon steps along the starboard side you enter the pilot house.  The helm area offers a center seat for the captain and the “C” shaped dinette table and Corian table offer plenty of room for the crew.  Behind the dinette was a watch berth.  The berth has been replaced with storage cabinets and office equipment but can easily be converted back to a berth.  The pilot house offers port and starboard sliding entry doors onto the wide side decks giving complete access to the boat or to the flybridge.  The helm electronics rival those found on a larger vessel and redundant systems offer exceptional safety.  The windshield has a solid cover as do the pilot house side windows.

Along the starboard side and down the steps you enter the companionway for the staterooms.  At the bottom of the steps and aft is the large master.  The master offers an amidships queen berth with an inner spring mattress, night stands, plenty of drawer and locker spaces, an ensuite head with separate bath tub and shower combination.   The foot of the master berth offers a large area that would make a wonderful sitting area.  Back to the companionway and forward is the guest “V” berth.  Immediately to starboard is access into the shared head which can also be used as the day head.  Through the forward doorway the “V” berth offers a port and starboard twin.  Under the berths are several drawers and to port a large hanging locker.  To starboard there is a private entry into the head.  There is a large overhead hatch for escape or ventilation.

Back to the side decks and aft you step up 5 steps and onto the aft deck which offers an exceptional amount of room for many outside uses.  The dingy chocks and dingy davit are aft.  Currently there is a large storage box and an extra stainless steel fender holder.  The mast can be lowered manually for decreasing the overall height of her.  Along the starboard side and up three steps is the flybridge.  The bridge offers excellent visibility.  The bridge bimini and enclosure are made of Stamoid and were replaced in 2010.  There are two helm seats and an aft settee for seating of additional guests.  A full electronics suite offer ample navigational and communications.  Back to the side decks and forward is the bow deck.  There is a molded seating area along the bow but the current owner uses it for covered storage.

The “U” shaped galley up offers excellent cooking and storage amenities and allows the onboard chef complete communication with the crew or guests.  The washer and dryer have stainless steel drums.
