Here is a versatile classic powered by the reliable Caterpillar 3208 diesels.  Her live-aboard owners have constantly upgraded and maintained the yacht in excellent condition including Awlgrip painting the superstructure, new no-drip shaft logs, new appliances, new carpeting, and much more.

“ISLAND TYME” is a very well equipped yacht, including a watermaker, for cruising the Bahamas and beyond.  She is a must-see for anyone shopping for a turn-key cruising yacht in this size and price range.

Description and Layout

To excerpt The Power Boat Guide:  “she is a handsome boat ….that rides on a particularly good-running hull noted for both efficiency and rough-water comfort.”

She is a roomy two stateroom, two head, sundeck style yacht with the convenience of a cockpit, and the flexibility of both upper and lower helm stations.

The flybridge has two helm seats plus an “L” shaped settee, and has a newer bimini top and full isinglass enclosures.

The spacious sun deck is fitted with newer canvas and isinglass enclosures.  There is a new washer/drier and an icemaker installed in the forward console.

The cockpit is big enough for fishing, and facilitates convenient boarding from a dingy, not to mention easy dock line handling.  The cockpit lazarette also houses the ship’s generator, thus mitigating the noise level in the yacht’s interior.

Below decks are two private staterooms with center-line queen beds.  Both feature en-suite heads, and the master aft includes a dressing table and bathtub in the head.

The main salon features a large “L” shaped sofa with ottoman, coffee table, and bucket arm chair.  The lower helm station occupies the forward port corner of the salon.

The well-equipped galley is open to the salon, and convenient to the large “U” shaped dinette opposite.

Broker Comments

Last year the yacht took on a small amount water at the dock due to a leaking shaft seal and shore power outage.  The water never reached the engines or floors.  However, Insurance settlement paid for new batteries and wiring, new bilge pumps, new shaft seals, and other effected items.  The yacht should stand up to rigorous surveys.
