1969 Nova 24 Sprint
This Nova Sprint 24 is hull #2460 the 60th hull out of the 146 Nova Sprint 24's built by Nova Marine. Loughborough Marine of Newport Rhode Island restored this Nova 24 from the hull bottom up.Over $100,000 was spent on the project.
In the late 60's Allan Brown and offshore racing legend Don Aronow founded Nova Marine on "Thunder Row" in Miami. "Brownie" created and produced the Nova Sprint 24 and their "Super Nova" won the Miami- Nassau Offshore Powerboat Race in 1969.

Hull 2460 (60th produced) underwent a“stringers up” restoration by Loughborough Marine Interests. LMI builds custom yachts and performs
historic restorations at their yard in Newport Rhode Island. Over $100,000 was spent on the project.
Floor was removed, and all New stringers were fiberglassed Into hull.
Hull, cap, and deck were reglassed back together as one unit, faired and painted with flag blue and cream Awlgrip color scheme.
Bottom coated with VC Performance teflon white barrier Coat.
All underdeck systems were rebuilt or replaced. Including new fuel tank & hose system, new fresh water
washdown tanks & system, V-drives were rebuilt, new powder coated engine mounts, all new thru-hulls and stopcocks. New Packless shaft logs.
Entire hull inside was sprayed with bilgecoat. No expense was spared to make her essentially a new boat.
New power is provided by a pair of PCM Marine 5.7 liter engines at 310 hp each.
Velvet drive transmissions and Crusader V-drives have been rebuilt and repainted with all new stainless fasteners.
She is as fast today as she was when she left the factory on Thunder Boat Row. 50 mph top speed and 40 mph fast cruise.
